Soul to Soul, Spirit to Spirit, Greetings of the Christmas Season from the Island of Kauai.

It was over 20 years ago that Infinite Way students around the world were told by Joel Goldsmith that a day would come when all of us would be forced to make a decision quite different then any decision faced by all of the inhabitants of this planet; a decision that would require our total integrity to Divine truth. Perhaps this Christmas 1980 is the day that we are faced with that decision. It is not just another decision of many decisions, it is a unique one, one that will determine the remainder of your present life span on earth and will directly influence the nature of your life after the experience of death.

Please take a moment and just put your hands up above your head, stretch them high and hold them there just for a few seconds and listen very carefully. The body between the tips of your fingers and all the way down to the bottom of your toes is not the image and likeness of God. Between your fingertips and your toes there is a body, an image and that image is not the likeness of God. It is not the body that God gave to you.

Now you may have faced this before, you may have thought it before and heard it before and read it before, but today as we approach the New Year, it would be wonderful if you as a student of truth, can realize that your body is not the one that the world sees or that you see when you look at yourself in the mirror, or that you see when you look at yourself from head to toe.

Now you can continue believing it is your body, as the world believes, or you can discover that God gave you a Spiritual Body that never ages, never gets sick, never decays and never dies. The purpose of today’s class is to help you make that unique decision by making your Spiritual Body more real to you and by providing you with a safe dependable method for living consciously in that God-given body every day, day after day.

As you know, the world is not prepared for this transformation. Mankind is still trapped in what may be called a world-consciousness of good and evil. Most people we know are searching for material solutions in a world that is not God’s Kingdom. They’re suffering physically, emotionally, economically, and they fear infection, destruction from disease, radiation, nuclear attack, natural causes. They are weakened by drug abuse, alcohol abuse. They are rocked by social and ethnic hatreds; ever-struggling either against insecurity, frustration or a grim hopelessness of life without meaning or direction or any degree of permanence.

Fortunately, among us are a number of enlightened souls who really know that the body created by God is not fighting for its life, not on a battlefield or in a hospital, is not starving or suffering, is not growing older, is not losing its capacity to function.

You may not recall a specific moment but there was one blessed moment in your life – it could have happened 3 years ago or 30 years ago when you stepped out of the sleeping dead and found yourself in a Divine Universe. And as you opened your eyes to the new world around you in this, in Paradise, which to you was more real than the external world, you saw there were no nations controlling nations, freedom was not subject to the whims of economy or nature, security was not dependent upon persons or things, but instead there is a perfect Divine Light, something you felt and knew was forever.

Something in you responded to that. That Divine impulse was for you a beginning and gradually you were lifted above the superstitions of the world, above the concepts of mortal man, about a material universe. Oh yes, I know, you must have had second thoughts about many things. You must have wondered about some of the obsolete teachings; about fallen man, original sin, and many of those uninspired hand-me-downs from man-made religions who unfortunately, have found the letter but not the Spirit.

And then again, another day, you could see through the lie that the image and likeness of God can be victimized by a terminal disease or an incurable heart condition. You could see the paradox and you could see through the whole nonsense about Divine punishment. That all collapsed around you, you were in a new universe. Step-by-Step Grace made your Soul leap with new discoveries, insights and amazing new possibilities. You could feel and sometimes hear the Divine Word; you felt a wisdom beyond your own intellect, an inner strength beyond your own power. And with this rising inner force came the realization that you were being led by an unseen hand, an unseen intelligence, into a realm, a Kingdom unsuspected by the five-sense mind of the human race.

All this was part of your preparation to make a decision so earth shattering, so unexpected, that only the most dedicated student of truth would even dare to accept the challenge that this decision requires; in order to receive the supreme gift of all, transition, from a temporary creature to the full realization of the eternal Son of God while walking this earth.

Please consider this simple truth: it is the stone that must be rolled away, the paradox that prevents you from living now in the Kingdom of God. Your identity is Spirit, you are now Spirit. Spirit does not and cannot live in a human body of flesh. Spirit lives in a Spiritual Body, and so until you are living consciously in your Spiritual Body you are rejecting your identity as Spirit, and the result is division, duality, separation, a violation of Divine Will and from it flows the absence of the power of God in your life. Finally, after problems that seem endless, after mountains and valleys, we enter the experience of death and reincarnation.

It seems like a rather stupid end to a life, doesn’t it? And when we wonder about it, about why we have persisted in living in this wheel of reincarnation and ask ourselves what can we do about it, and why has the world not done it before, we must admit to ourselves that there are very few teachings on this earth that dare to face the cause of human failure, human death, the meaningless of the passing parade. But to you it must become as plain as the nose on your face. There is only one reason.

Man does not live in the body that God gave him and you and I have the option to do something about that. With man living in another body than his God-given body, a body that was not created by the Father, we discover the precise reason why God is no respecter of persons, why they that are in the flesh cannot please God, why the flesh profiteth nothing. To live in a body of flesh that dies or to live in the body of Spirit that is imperishable, this is the decision that you make which either accepts or rejects your own Spirit, and until you make that decision, you should know that you are walking on a high trapeze with no netting below to catch you if you fall.

Human beings who have not developed their capacity to live in their Spiritual body are called dead branches in the Bible. They have no vehicle for Spiritual growth or Spiritual living or survival in the high world, and they are unable to bear Divine fruit in this one. So, the Master tells us they must be cut off and reincarnate. For them transition is impossible for they have no realized Spiritual Body. So you see the choice between transition or reincarnation is entirely up to you. It depends on no person, no condition in this world. You have been given the power to decide whether you will be a dead corpse who reincarnates or make your transition into the Kingdom of God. And you make that choice not by your good intentions, not by your words, not by your promises, not by your tithing or your philanthropies; you make that choice by crossing the River Jordan, by walking daily, not in your physical form but in the body that God gave you, your Spiritual Body which is perfect and imperishable.

This is the God-given path of illumination. This is the God-given purpose for man on earth and this is the way you light your way to heaven on this earth. Oh yes, there are other reasons for living now in your Spiritual Body, reasons that have been unsuspected by traditional religion.

You know that Oneness is the secret of Grace and of dominion over karmic law, over the false powers of sickness, pain, anxiety, deterioration, over the limitations of fleshly existence. Oneness is the theme of the Old Testament, the New Testament and the theme of the Infinite Way. It is the central focus of every book by Joel: Realization of Oneness; Conscious Union with God; but remember, Oneness is only a word without substance until you become aware of a truth that lies hidden.

Throughout the Bible, you find it in the first five books of Genesis, in the mystical utterances of Isaiah, Ezekiel and Daniel, in the mystical revelations and the mighty deeds of Christ Jesus; everywhere you turn. And in spite of all the hints, clues, suggestions, allegories, demonstrations, man still walks blindly unaware of a truth that we must never forget. No human body can ever be One with God. All your goodness, all your desire to love God supremely, to love your neighbor as yourself, will not achieve Oneness with God as long as you remain in a human body.

Oneness is the way and the only way to the Kingdom of God and the treasures of that Kingdom; the peace, harmony, permanence. Oneness is our salvation from unreality. Two-ness is separation from God and the treasures, separation from the miracle worker, the transforming Grace of Spirit, separation from the perfection and the protection of Divine Life, Divine Power, Divine Wisdom. God is immortal, immortal. Mortality and God can never be One. God is Spirit. Physicality and God can never be one. Human-hood and God are two. Two means separation, mortality; human-hood is separation from God. Whoever lives in a human body is separated from God whether he or she wears the robe of the church, cap and gown of the college graduate or the coveralls of a farmer or factory worker. Only your Spiritual Body is One with God, and until you live in it, you walk this earth without God, without Grace, without dominion, without the glory that was yours before you lost your Identity in the false concept of mortal flesh.

Let us be still and feel the joy of the Presence. Your Spiritual Body is Real; it is not an abstraction, it is here now, it is radiant, it is glorious. Your Spiritual Body is the power behind the sun, the essence behind the atom, the dynamo of regeneration. The qualities of your Spiritual Body are breathtaking beyond measurement.

This is the secret of all who have found their way into the Paradise of Eternal Life. You are destined to know and to experience the majesty of this Invisible Body of Spirit. You are destined to be lifted by the overpowering discovery that Spirit is the only Living Presence, the only Life, the only Body. And when you accept the truth that Spirit is your Body and willingly surrender to your Spiritual Body, you will find liberation from your entombment in human flesh that withers. And then, only then, have you accepted the body of Christ. Only then are you in Conscious Oneness with Infinite God.

The scriptures of the world never speak about your Spiritual Body directly; it is always a finger to the lips. That is why mankind still wallows in the misery of a temporary, imperfect human sense of body. Whenever an individual is ready and willing to stop glorifying himself or herself and to stop seeking fulfillment in the temporal kingdoms of matter, then for that dedicated seeker of Spirit without opposite, the veil is lifted, the path of inner Light is opened. Even the trials are accelerated to build spiritual confidence and trust. And finally, the faithful seeker who literally is filled with faith and proves it by devotion to Spirit and its ever perfection in all things; that seeker is rewarded and the realization of the Spiritual Body that never dies is attained.

Your Bible refers to this Eternal Immortal Body by secret symbols. The number 11 designates the Spiritual Body; the word Robe generally carries the same mystical significance. You may remember in June of 1964, when Joel experienced the descent of the Purple Robe, he knew that he had obtained a consistent consciousness of his Divine Spiritual Body and that transition would soon follow, and that is exactly what happened. His earthly mission was completed; the secret of the Purple Robe placed upon the shoulders of his Inner form was exactly like the placing of the Purple Robe on the shoulders of Christ Jesus before crucifixion. Ironically, Pontius Pilate thought that he had the power to sentence Jesus to life or death, and a Purple Robe was placed upon the shoulders of Christ Jesus standing there waiting for the decision of Pilate about life or death. But unknown to Pilate, and seemingly to mankind, that Purple Robe was revealing that the Spiritual Body of Christ which was exemplified by the Robe could never die.

And if we just go a few hours more to the scaffold, to the tree, we find the soldiers fighting over the Robe that would not part – the seamless Robe. The outer seamless Robe was a symbol of the Inner Spiritual Body that is One with God and therefore Eternal, Indestructible. And I am talking about your Spiritual Body and your Purple Robe. The attainment of your Spiritual Body is the only real salvation, nor has it been limited to great sages, saviors and messiahs. Think: it is the Spirit that has taught us that every individual has the One Infinite, Indestructible Spiritual Body of God.

We are told in, I think it was Chapter 16 of the Acts of Apostles, that in the city of Thyatira, there was a woman named Lydia. What was unusual about her? We know she was helpful to Paul in his mission there and very wisely Spirit tells us what was unusual about her when it says that she was a seller of purple. She had attained consciousness of her Spiritual Body.

And then to show you that the Spiritual body is the possession of every individual, just turn to Exodus, Chapter 25, Verse 4, and there you find God telling Moses to teach the Israelites to weave garments of blue and purple and scarlet – different degrees of spiritual progression and spiritual awareness. I think you might shock any modern religious congregation if you told them that Moses performed his miracles because he walked, lived and had his Being in his permanent Spiritual Body right here on earth and even taught it to Joshua. Moses never openly identified the Spiritual Body of mankind, but he left many records of it in the first five books of Genesis.

Perhaps the most startling teaching overlooked by mankind is a more important monument to truth than all the pyramids and the artifacts of Egypt. Archaeologists are still hoping to find that Ark of Noah. If they understood mystical Biblical terminology, they could save themselves the expense and the effort. The length, the breadth and the height of the Ark given to Noah by God, as recorded in Chapter 6, Verse 15 of Genesis, are 300 cubits, 50 cubits and 30 cubits. Throw away the zeros – they have no meaning. Add up the three, the five and the three, you have the total = 11; this is the symbol of the Spiritual Body.

Moses used an Ark to symbolize the Spiritual Body that he himself had attained and he put two of all creatures in that Ark – in that body – meaning the entire human race entering Oneness of One Spiritual Body. And then mystically, he showed how the permanent Spiritual Body of man is the secret of resurrection from the first birth in water to the rebirth into Life Eternal. The Ark had to survive as your Spiritual Body survives. And Moses was saying to the world then and now, you will survive if you enter your Ark, your permanent, Divine, Spiritual Body that God gave you.

Isaiah had a secret too. And he gave it to us when he said, “The Lord hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteous as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.” You’ll find that in Isaiah, I think it is 61, Chapter 61, right at the beginning.

Throughout the Old Testament there are references and many of them in the Psalms, to the Robe of righteousness and these references have mainly gone unnoticed by religious scholars through the centuries. But to the illumined, this mystical phrase, “the Robe of righteous, the Robe of Honor, the Garment of Righteous, the Purple Robe,” these phrases always are devoted to the Invisible Spiritual Body in which the perfect Law of God functions forever.

You may remember that one day in the early part of his mission; Jesus began to prepare his students for this new Body of Spirit which in time would replace their concept of a material body of flesh that must die. It’s called the Sermon on the Mount, meaning the mount of high consciousness, and there is a spot in it that very clearly takes a new look right in front of you as you read it with the knowledge that He is talking about your Spiritual Body. And I really believe that the world has passed this by. The world remembers that He spoke about praying in secret, giving alms in secret and don’t do this, do that, but in Chapter 6 after he has laid the groundwork with things that are familiar on the earth, things with which human beings can identify, He begins to move toward the quiet planting of the truth of the Spiritual Body which has not been observed before. And listen from that standpoint and see if you can’t recognize exactly what Christ is doing.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon the earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourself treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal.” That Spiritual body cannot be stolen from you; it does not decay, which is the meaning of corruption, or where your treasure is there will your Heart be also. And your Heart here is going to be your Soul, where your Spiritual Body is your Soul is.

Now listen again, “The light of the body is the eye, therefore if thine eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.” He’s introducing a new idea about the body and the single eye is the Soul which replaces the two eyes; the Soul which replaces the five senses, and when the Soul replaces the mortal mind, the body that is full of Light is your Spiritual Body; your Body of the Soul.

But if thine eye be evil,… and I’m afraid you must see that the word evil here means mortal, material, if thine eye be mortal and material…thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Yes, it is great, isn’t it? So dark that man must reincarnate.

No man can serve two masters. You cannot serve God and Mammon. You cannot serve Spirit and flesh. “Therefore, I… and I is the Spirit of God within you, I say unto you, take no thought for your life, take no thought what ye shall eat, what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body. Take no thought for, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat and the body than raiment?” I suppose the world has not been aware that he was talking about a body that you don’t have to take thought about. He wasn’t so much saying don’t take thought for this body as he was saying there is a body about which you may never take thought, and by taking no thought for this body you are accepting that you only have that Spiritual Body.

Long before his own crucifixion of body, he is talking about our crucifixion of body. “Behold the fowls of the air, they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet their heavenly Father feedeth them.” In other words, they too are One Invisible Spiritual body. Are you not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Again, a subtle statement that you have a Spiritual Body that can never get larger because it already is Infinite. Oh, there are many other thoughts there but behind all of them is this speaking from the focus of the boundless body of Spirit, which is your body.

Why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, they toil not, neither do they spin.” Just look at the human race, compare it to that immovable lily; compare the efforts and frantic struggles of mankind to a seemingly unprotected lily.
“And yet I say unto you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these;”
meaning the human, material, mortal, fleshly appearance of Solomon, could not compare to the Spiritual Body of a lily. We have missed that Spiritual Body in our understanding and in our living.

Wherefore, if God so clothed the grass of field, which today is and tomorrow is not, tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, oh ye of little faith?” little knowledge, little wisdom, little understanding. “Therefore take no thought, saying what shall we eat or what shall we drink or where withal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

Just think for a moment that Infinite Intelligence has provided an infinite Spiritual Body, which is not going through the struggles of the human race; “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Do you see how all of the Sermon on the Mount is bringing forth the Spiritual Body? “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” If today you walk in the Spiritual Body there is no evil tomorrow.

Paul spoke very bluntly, as you know, probably more bluntly than any teacher who ever came before him. One of the reasons might be that Paul was not pledged to secrecy in a secret order like the Essenes or one of the great mystery schools of the day. And you may remember that in a letter to the students in the city of Corinth he wrote: All flesh is not the same; there is a natural body and a spiritual body. He really left no doubt about which body his followers should live in if they wanted to find the Spiritual Kingdom. And then very flatly he declared: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.

In his letter to the Romans, we find another blunt piece of advice: To be carnally minded is death. Now I think you could translate that very correctly to read to be fleshly-minded is death but to be Spiritually minded is Life and Peace. If ye live after the flesh ye shall die and if ye through the spirit be mortified of flesh, ye mortify the deeds of the body. Ye shall live. Paul taught at the peril of his human life, that the crowing achievement of human-hood is to awaken from the dream of mortal flesh; to walk consciously in a finer body of Divine flesh that neither ages, decays nor dies and to qualify for transition from man of earth to Son of God.

There are many more examples, not only in the Bible but in scriptures of all the inspired men and women throughout the ages who had realized that the salvation of mankind is the understanding that no man walks alone, that each of us has the opportunity to step into the ark, to bring our total human-hood into the ark of Spirit; to be transformed through consciousness into the realization of the Divine body of Spirit that weathers the waters of time, that moves through the illusion of space, that overcomes the illusion of matter, and that emerges on the top of the mountain of Truth Infinite, Free, Eternal, One with the Infinite Spirit of the Living God.

Most people who believe in life after death pray that they will be permitted to enter the Kingdom of Heaven because of their human goodness. Paul had a marvelous answer for this naive belief. “How are the dead raised up? In what body do they come?” And then he proceeded to explain that Immortality in the Kingdom of God can never be attained by living in a mortal body. And as you know, most of the human race is totally unaware that the Spiritual Body you need to live in, when you are in the Kingdom of Heaven, is under Divine Law and cannot be attained after you die, but must be attained before you move on. This must be impressed upon you, that until you have attained the Spiritual Body, there can be no transition.

Another false belief that keeps the human race spinning on the wheel of reincarnation is that the human body, in some way, is a necessary vehicle for this world. And so many will say, “Well what about my human responsibilities and what about the things I have to do tomorrow; what about everything that comes in my daily activity? How can I be living in a Spiritual Body and perform these things in a physical body?” I can only tell you your Father knoweth ye have need of these things.

All the human objections are like the individual invited to the wedding feast who said, “Well, I can’t come, my donkey fell down a ditch.” Instead of wondering how we are going to perform our human duties, how about trusting that when we are in the Spiritual Body the Father within us doeth the works. Are we not afraid to let go, not afraid that somehow God will overlook our human responsibilities? Are we forgetting that living in the Presence of the Creator, the Infinite Spirit is the only way we can be about our Father’s business?

Truth won’t go away because we have human objections to it, and the truth is that the human body is always separated from God. A human body can never be One with God. There is absolutely no way that your physical body can find or live in the Kingdom of God because the body of God is Spirit; that is One Body. Your physical body is another body; that makes two bodies. And those two bodies can never be one body. Oneness is transition; two-ness is reincarnation. Choose ye. That duality of living in one body while trying to live in another body, that living in two bodies maintains a gap between man and God. And that gap is bigger than the Grand Canyon.

Across this Great Divide, the Life and the Power of God, the Protection of God, the Will, the Harmony of God cannot flow. The great secret hidden for centuries of false teaching is that your human body keeps you out of the Kingdom of God at the same time that God is telling you to find the Kingdom. It’s a big decision, isn’t it, because one body has to go?

To find the Kingdom of God you must lay down your concept of a physical body. You must lay down the conditions of that body and you must stop believing in the reality of flesh. If you sow a Spiritual Body now, you will reap a Spiritual vehicle that carries you through the experience of transition; otherwise you are unprepared to move into a higher world.

Now this is the key to the Spiritual resurrection taught through the ages by all enlightened saviors and prophets. Back away and you are electing for reincarnation. Put your responsibilities – all of them – into the hands of your Spiritual Body and let the Father within do the works.

Now there are many who will back away; many who are frightened and many like those who have been writing lately, saying let’s go, what are we waiting for? I agree, what else is there to do but live in a Spiritual Body, there’s no question about it. How? How?

Great; that’s the Spirit we want to see, but let’s remember that when you first learn about your Spiritual Body with this total desire to live in it, it’s not something that you can get into like a satellite and take off for outer space. Preparation is necessary, care is necessary, patience is necessary. You Spiritual Body is not a spacecraft; it is your permanent body. It is a body that already is and already is everywhere. It is a body that will never die because it is a body that was never born. It is a body that will never age because it is already outside time and yet, it is here. It is a body that is independent of weather, independent of climate, disease; independent of all material conditions because it is made of the unconditioned Spirit of God.

When you realize that living in your never-dying Spiritual Body is the only way to stop the wheel of reincarnation which separates you from the Kingdom, and when you decide that for you the higher realms of Soul, Spirit and Infinite Christ realized, are more important than breathing, then you are ready to learn something else.

We recall the wealthy young Hebrew who approached Jesus and said, “I have kept the commandments; I have never murdered, never committed adultery, never stolen nor born false witness, all my life I have honored my father and mother, and loved my neighbor as myself. What else must I do to have Eternal Life? Quicker than you can say “I Am,” Spirit recognized the material consciousness of the young man. It was clear that Spiritual rebirth had no meaning to him; he was not prepared to transcend his material sense of life; his material sense of body. And so to tell absolute truth would have been very cruel, very confusing. So the Master said, “If thou wilt be perfect go and sell that thou hast and come and follow me.” What was he saying? Leave mortality; follow immortality – that was the Christ secret to the young man and to the human race who reads that incident in the Bible. Leave mortality; follow Immortality.

On another occasion there was a disciple who said he would follow Jesus after he buried his father. What did Christ reply? “Let the dead bury the dead.” He could have told the disciple that your father is only dead because he has not realized his Spiritual body, but he took this opportunity to talk over the shoulder of that disciple to the world.

Christ was saying all who are in their bodies are mortal flesh, and are asleep to their Identity as Spirit, the Infinite Individualization of perfect God. These he called the dead because they were not in the Spiritual Body which is sustained by Divine Life. They even may be walking on the earth but they are separated from the Grace and Life of God and inevitably, their human bodies must show the effects of this deadness. Let them, says Christ, bury their false sense of life and mortal matter. Let them surrender mortality. When human flesh is overcome by the knowledge that they who live in the flesh cannot please God then the dead will rise in their Spiritual body and shall be dead no more.

These statements: sell all that thou hast, and let the dead bury the dead were ignored or misunderstood for 20 centuries and they’re still misconstrued, even by Bible students. But if you are determined to live now in your Spiritual Body, it’s time for you to hear something that is straight to the point. He leaves no room for doubt, no room for misinterpretation. It was written by Joel 21 years ago, and this is the decision that Joel warned his students that they would ultimately have to face. I think you are going to find this was something that was meant for you right at this moment.

It’s in the 1959 Letters of the Infinite Way and in my edition it is Page 45. If you don’t have this edition which is out of England, you may not find it on 45, but it is chapter three and it is a third page of that chapter. It is for the student who wants confirmation that he is not in a physical body now. Not that you should get out of it but that you are not in it. Listen:

There are certain principles of the Infinite Way which an advanced student should know and which will aid in freeing him from the wheel of life. One of the most important of these is the principle that we are not in the body.

At this moment that may not seem to be of too much importance but sooner or later it will be realized that this is the ultimate and the deepest secret of life and the one which produces the highest demonstration of Spiritual living.”

Now when he is saying that we are not in the body, but when you know that he has said, as we reported in the last class, that the body of God is our body, and he is saying that we are in our Spiritual Body. We are not in our physical body; we are in our Spiritual Body now. You were going to try to attain it weren’t you? You were going to try to leave this physical body and find your Spiritual Body. No. You are not in your physical body now; you are in your Spiritual Body already. That’s the only you there is. Is the point made? Let it filter down to your toes because day after day after day you’re going to have to remind yourself of this until you do not try to find your Spiritual Body in the future but learn to accept it in the Living Now.

I am continuing a few paragraphs of this because you must see how easily you step out of this truth without realizing it. We do not live in our bodies, nor are we the body, nor Are We the Body. For that reason no one should ever make such a statement as “I am ill.” There, he’s putting all the practitioners out of business. No one should ever make such a statement as I am ill, for I am never ill; I am never ill. The body may be ill, suffering and in torment, but not I, not I for I am not in that body to be ill. I am nowhere around where the pain or discomfort or discord is because I do not inhabit this body.

No wonder he received the Purple Robe.

There are three facts about that statement that should make it priceless and memorable for you.

First, it will save you the effort and the frustration of trying to spiritualize your physical body.

Second, it tells you that you are not in a physical body; and three, unless you refuse to hear it or believer it, Joel was telling you what has been an underground secret in the world for the past 10,000 years. Human bodies have no existence outside the world mind. Human bodies have no existence outside the world mind.

Your decision when you decide to live in your never-born never-dying ever-present Spiritual Body must be activated and you cannot activate it unless you include with it another decision which is part of the one decision. I intend to live in my Spiritual Body and to overcome the belief that I live in a body of human flesh.

I hope the distinction is clear; that will save you many headaches later. You can never leave your human body. You can leave your concept of it. You are being asked to realize that your human body is not there. Your material human body has never been the image and likeness of God. Remember between your fingers and your toes that is not the image and likeness of God. It was not made by God. It was not made because God made you in his Spiritual image and likeness, and what God did not make was never made. Your body is a world-mind image and it is vulnerable to all human conditions because it is not a Divine creation. And although prophets walk on eggshells avoiding the words to tell you that the human body is nothing but a mental image; that is the truth, that is the meaning behind scripture. And if you plan to live in your Spiritual Body it’s high time that you faced that absolute truth.

I know it is difficult to accept for some of us; I know it is difficult to understand, but if God had created human flesh God would not say, “They who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Nor would we be instructed to see no man after the flesh, nor would the body remind us that God is no respecter of persons.

In human hypnosis we see bodies where no bodies are, we see matter, where no matter is. We see physical infirmities, where no infirmities are; we see human life spans where Eternal Life is; we see separated bodies, divided from Spirit, divided from each other. And in all this human perception, we overlook the fundamental principle taught by Spirit Itself: God is Infinite; God is without opposite; God is all.

When you believe that, your world of mortal flesh is recognized as papier-mâché and when you refuse to live in a body of papier-mâché the Robe of Immortality descends to clothe you in your body of Eternal Light. You simply cannot continue trying to live inside a mortal image. Once you are aware of that Truth, you will understand that being absent from the human body does not mean to step out of it but to recognize that it never, never is there. That is your high mysticism.

And on the following page in Joel’s 1959 Infinite Way Letters we are carried into that understanding just a little more and new light is shed on matters of the utmost importance:

When you catch a tiny glimpse of the truth that life is not entombed in the body you will understand the meaning of the resurrection. It is true that Jesus was entombed – that is, confined in a tomb – just as today it appears that human beings are confined to their bodies. But when the tomb was opened was Jesus there? No, he had risen. The Christ, the Divine Self, could not be entombed. The Christ, your Divine Self, cannot be entombed in a body, and some day the realization must come: I am not entombed in a body; I never was entombed in a body. I live and move and have my being in God, not in a tomb of material concept. I abide in the Word of God and the Word of God abides in me, not in the body.

Whenever I ask you to step out of your body there is no time to go into lengthy discussions about it, but remember it always means, step out of the belief that you are in a physical body. And if there are some present who cannot catch this distinction at this moment, as they advance in truth, suddenly, understanding will pop into their consciousness at just the right time. But enough talk about the Spiritual Body. After a brief meditation, let us start living in this glorious Spiritual Body that God gave us.

This is going to be a preliminary, a sort of general awareness; so that we can all come to a general awareness together that the Spiritual Body was meant to be lived in, that in it all Divine Law functions, that it is the radiant instrument of the Eternal Self, that it is now. Let us never bury the Spiritual Body, but let us bury the mortal body. Let us live now in our Spiritual Body. Let’s become acquainted with it by experience; let’s learn from it about its own special quality, how it differs from the human concept that we have called our body, how it functions, how we can recognize it, and how we can live in it even while we seem to perform human deeds and human responsibilities.

Perhaps right now you are sitting in a room and around you are some friends listening with you to this tape. You and they are invited to participate now in a spiritual exercise. It would be just right if you could imagine that no one else is there but you so that each individual is the only body in the room. And now look around your room and find two chairs, empty ones, just look at them, don’t move, don’t get up, don’t re-arrange anything in the room; just look at those two empty chairs. What is happening – you are sitting in one chair, you’re looking at two empty chairs. This is normal human consciousness. What do you think would happen if you were not conscious of your physical body but were conscious of your Spiritual Body? Why don’t we find out?

What is your Identity? You are Spirit. You are the Child of God. You made a decision to be Spirit. Does Spirit have a physical body? Is Spirit finite? Is Spirit sitting in your chair? Everything begins with Identity whether it’s this experiment or whatever you do in the visible external world. If you’re not doing it from your Identity, it has no value, it will be scattered in the wind of time.

I Am Spirit. That is the truth. It will never change. I can depart from that and function in form as a human being but I Am Spirit and every time I depart from that knowledge I am without God. My Spirit is undivided from God. My Spirit and God are One, Indivisible, Eternal. God is Omnipresent. The Spirit of God is my Spirit. My Spirit is Omnipresent. My Spirit is Invisible. My Spirit is not sitting in this chair alone. If my Spirit is sitting in this chair it must be in those two empty chairs that I was looking at because my Spirit is everywhere.

So the illusion of two empty chairs and one filled with a body is a denial of the Presence of Spirit without opposite, without opposite. Spirit and matter are not here. Spirit is here. I have no physical body. There is no physical body in this chair. There is only Infinite Omnipresent Spirit. Christ is not living inside my body. Christ is not contained. Christ is not in my body because Christ cannot live inside a finite image, which is not the creation of God.

So what have we? The whole picture is wrong. In our normal human consciousness, we are sitting in a chair and there are two empty chairs over there. Now we do it every day; our entire life is spent in this type of consciousness, which is untrue. A total denial of not only your Identity but of the Identity of everyone else, and while you are in this false identity fulfilling what you think are your human responsibilities, everything you do will be out of focus with your Divine Nature; out of focus with the Will and Life of God. Shocking isn’t it?

Just by living in a temporary human identity, in a temporary human body, we become lost sheep, wanderers in time and space, glued to an existence that ends in death and chained to the errors of the world mind. When you know it, you must say, never again, I will reverse all that. I will enforce my decision to live in my Spiritual Body. I will roll away the stone of matter formed by my five senses. The lie of the finite senses, which never experienced the Living Spirit, prevents me from loving God supremely and from accepting the Truth demonstrated on earth by the messengers of God. This I will no longer do. No longer can I rely on the limited evidence of my five senses. I catch the permanent illusion that is always taking place beyond my five senses, without evidence, but with total faith in the Divine Word, I am knowing who I am.

I am honoring the Son of God here now. I- I – I am not this flesh. I do not live inside this human flesh. I am perfect as God because I am not contained inside a five-sense image called the human body. I am the Eternal Child of God, the Eternal Substance of God; the Spiritual Body of God. I am Infinite Light and all that Infinite Light is I am right now. I am not a dying creature made of dying flesh. I was given a perfect body by God made of His Perfect Substance containing His Perfect qualities forever. In that body of Spirit, I have always lived, am living now, and always will live, in spite of the picture formed in the world by the five senses.

That tiny body in the chair is not me. I am Omnipresent Spirit. My body has no boundaries. I am the reality behind all space, behind all time. I am the Living Christ of God. Is there another? I know not any. God has one Infinite Son and I answer to that name.

In the true glory of your Being, on the wings of your own eternal Spirit, let your Soul soar into that Eternity until you are moving like a star across the unobstructed heavens. Believe in your own Omnipresence, accept your Omnipresent Spiritual Body as the Truth that is always true, always functioning, always all-powerful, always under Grace no matter what appears, and the perfection of your Spiritual Body will demonstrate its dominion over the changing material world.

This is not just a meditation, for this class, it is something that you must repeat many times until your Spiritual Body is no stranger to you.

When you are alone each day, put a chair in one corner of the room and a second chair in another corner, then sit down in a third chair and look at those two chairs. Realize that you in the one chair and the other two chairs is your normal body consciousness brought to you by your five-sense vision, nothing more. And then lift yourself into Spiritual Body Consciousness, perhaps using this tape to guide you on your first five or ten attempts, but before long you will be uplifted into your own Real Body in just a matter of a minute or two. And then as this develops, you will discover new techniques along the way; new capacity to go in and out – almost like an instant Transfiguration until you find you don’t have to go in and out, it’s normal, it’s natural, it feels that way; you know who you are. You know that your Spiritual Body is behind all time and space and right here. There is not a star moving across the sky that isn’t moving across the reality of your Invisible Spiritual Body.

And as this deepens, you will discover that you are a candidate for the descent of the Comforter who sees God Face to Face. “If I go not away the Comforter will not come unto you.” The appearance of mortality must go away just as the appearance of Jesus had to go away. You must let mortality go away for if mortality goes not away, the Immortal Spiritual Body cannot be realized.

Until today before we enter 1981, the knowledge of your God-given Body of Spirit and the transformation from a seemingly temporary creature of matter to the radiant expression of Divine Self-hood is the real living message of the Christ. The revelation that we can rise from tombs of flesh is not new, it has been known on earth for centuries beyond count, but the knowledge has done little for those who have stuffed their ears with the cotton of mortality.

And so this Christmas, rather than send a printed Christmas card, well, Betty and I would like to send you a talking Christmas card right now. It’s a poem that was written 26 centuries ago. It comes from the reference to sacred garments that were worn by spiritual students in the mystery school of Diamithius, probably pronounced De a mithius. And here’s how it goes:

“He who desires in pomp of sacred dress the Son’s resplendent body to express should first availeth seen now purple, bright, like fair white beams combined with fiery light.”

That’s our talking Christmas card to you. It’s a thin poetic disguise by a Greek mystic. It’s the Purple Robe in Exodus. It’s the Purple Robe that symbolized the Immaculate Body of Jesus. It’s the Purple Robe that told Joel his earthly mission was over as he saw it and felt it within himself. It’s the Purple Robe that embraces every initiate who places material sense on the cross in order that Immortal Spirit may rise in its place. And that is our Christmas wish for you.

And I’d suggest that if you’re reading this between now and February that you pick up your copy of “Leave Your Nets” and go through the last chapter titled The Robe; that you also pick up your copy of the 1959 Letters of the Infinite Way and read the third chapter, “The Secret of the Resurrection.” And I would like to suggest that you be patient. Patient to the extent that you accept the Word of God that: “My word shall not return unto Me void.”

When we walk in Divine Truth it always leads us back to the Infinite Father. It always opens us to the Reality of the Presence of Infinite Grace. And you and I now have a most unusual mission together. That is why since Thanksgiving, I think, or a little bit before, there has been a removal of separation between many students in this work. We have all felt a closeness, even different than any we have felt before. It’s overwhelming and it’s real, it’s like thick syrup, you feel it without being present with another person. It’s because we are coming to that climatic awareness that I really am not in human flesh.

The phoenix is rising out of the dust. “I” am emerging. There is an unusual conception taking place, and the calls and letters that I receive and the visits that I have shared have all collaborated that there is a tenacity, a glorious persevering quality in every dedicated student that says: I have found The Infinite Way. I may have been a lost sheep back there in time, I may have been over reigned by the sense of human responsibility, but I am finding that I only have one responsibility: to be myself, to be Divine Spirit, living in a Divinely Spiritual Body which has no boundaries in space or time.

And this is what is happening.

There are many new faces; there are many new developments in the students who have worked together for the past three, five, ten – even sixteen years together. There are some of us who have worked together that long. All this is coming to a head for the April experience – and by the way – please take another look at your invitation, I am not sure, but I think it says February 10th is when we would like to know and reserve your room for you if you are coming. And for those of you, who are coming but are staying with friends, please remember that we have to have chairs for you to sit in at that seminar, so you have to tell us that you are coming rather than just pop-in. It would help if we know that you’re coming so that we can prepare the room properly. And I’m not ruling anybody out. If you don’t know till 10 hours ahead that you’re coming and then you are prompted to come, I can tell you this: there will be a chair there for you if we have to materialize one out of the invisible. And I presume that the Inn will find a place for you.

Merry Christmas!

Joyous New Year in your Beautiful Spiritual Body given to you by God. Much love from Betty and Herb from the Island of Rainbows.

Thank you.

A few days ago we rented a movie and perhaps some of you have seen it. It is called, “United Flight 93” and it is the story of what happened aboard the airliner, that on September 11, 2001, went crashing into a field, somewhere in Pennsylvania, rather than going all the way to Washington, D.C. and crashing into the White House or the Capitol.

What struck me very hard while watching this movie was the passengers aboard this flight. Up near the front of the plane and flying the plane, were very devout, religious Muslims. The movie portrayed them, showed them as very, very religious, devoutly saying prayers through this whole experience. I mean they were praying continuously the Islamic prayers, asking that the Will of Allah be done. And they were sincere, very devout.

Farther back in this plane, there were men and women of the Christian persuasion or belief, praying also continuously, almost without ceasing; praying the Lord’s Prayer, praying that God’s will be done. And there were even some who had no religion at all and were simply praying, “God, please help us.”

The movie was probably a couple of hours long. It was done in real time and this praying was going on continuously, almost the whole time, the whole trip, the whole flight. Here you had all of these people praying and praying and praying. And not one was making a God-contact. God was nowhere to be found. And at the end of their much praying, their much speaking, the plane barreled into the ground, blew up, and the people were scattered in pieces.

And it just really struck me, all of these people praying, no one making contact. What was missing? Where was God?

And so I took that into meditation several times over the past few days because I feel it is critical. What if you were sitting on that plane? Would you be able to pray aright? Would you be able to make that God-contact when you only had a few minutes to make it? When everyone was in panic mode? How would you go about it? Just what would you do different than the devoted Christians and the very sincere Muslims to reach God? What would you do different?

Our clue, our hint is in this book called “The Infinite Way.” There are two items in “The Wisdoms” that point us in a right direction for a solution to this dilemma and the first says:

God is not in the human scene. If you were aware of the significance of this statement, you could lay down your life and pick it up again, at will.

And so the first clue to us is ‘God is not in the human scene.’ And I think that if you watch this movie you could agree that on that plane, God was not there. And the second statement is:

I have told you the real secret of life. God is not with mortals. Take it from there.

So we are told God is not in the human scene, God is not with mortals.

We could agree watching the events unfold, God was not there. And no one, with all of their praying could reach God. I don’t know what happens within you but when I watch something like that, within me, I feel the question, “Why not? Why could no one praying without ceasing, reach God? Why was God not available?”

So I take that into meditation and I take the two statements into meditation. God is not in the human scene. God is not with mortals.

This is vitally important because unless we understand this, we will be like the passengers aboard that flight and go hurtling out of the sky, smashing into the ground, blown up in pieces.

The answer is, everyone aboard that flight, was a mortal. A mortal, a person and everyone aboard that flight was praying up to some concept of God which the mortals had in their mortal minds. And I can tell you of a certainty, there is no mortal, there is no God that the mortal mind has in it as a concept. And I can tell you that if God is not with mortals, it is because God does not see or hear a mortal. And so if you are in a situation such as that plane flight, or maybe something out on the road or a financial crunch, or a problem of health. If you approach God as a mortal and pray to your concept of God, I’m afraid you’re going to die, because all mortals die.

Now suppose you really were on that flight? What could you have done? What would you have done? What will you do when you face a situation like that? The first thing is to recognize that God is not in the scene. Here I am, strapped into my seat, the plane is going this way and that, people are screaming and I, I close my eyes.

This that the senses are reporting is mortality. And mortals cannot ever contact God because the natural man receiveth not God. So as I sit here, I had better find the way to my own Christhood because Christ has ever heard the Word of God. And I had better find a way to step out of mortality right now. In spite of the noise, I take a deep breath and I let it out and I rest. God is not with mortals so I can stop working on that level. God is only spiritually discerned. Any concept of God in the mind is not God and I can stop working on that level; the level of mind. So I stop working on the mortal level, I stop working on the mental level and now I have reached my Soul. Open your Soul and receive ye the Holy Spirit of God. In the union of Soul and Spirit, you have found your Christ-Identity. And Christ has always heard the Father’s Voice. Speak Father, thy Son heareth. Here in my Christhood, God is always speaking. And I rest in It, without any attempt to manipulate the mortal scene, without any attempt to pray up here in the mind. Now, I take that daring step of resting in my own Invisible Christhood and receiving the Father’s Word. Speak O’Beloved; speak.

Heaven and earth are one and I am that One. You be still. I give you my Presence. Your conscious awareness of My Presence is the only contact you need. And touching My Consciousness, My Robe, you are saved. I have told you I will never leave you nor forsake you. I have told you, all that I have is thine. I have told you My Grace is your sufficiency. Now rest, rest in My Word. What is that to thee? Let the heathen rage. Rest, rest back. I am here.

And in your resting, in your conscious awareness of the Father’s Presence, in your hearing the Word, the Father’s Word, mortality melts, dissolves, loses its appearance of power. And in a way ye know not of, all is transformed in the twinkling of an eye. And although we do not know the way, we do know that in some way, you would be brought through the experience completely unharmed; because in the conscious awareness of the Presence of God, mortality dissolves.

In the realm of mortality, temporal power, temporary power is power. In the realm of the mind, mental power, also temporary, is power. But in the conscious awareness of My Presence, temporal power, mental power, is nothing.

The only thing missing from those dear ones’ prayers aboard that flight was the conscious awareness of My Presence. One person in the conscious awareness of My Presence is a majority and overrules everything else going on. The whole secret to prayer and praying aright is arriving at that state of the conscious awareness of the Presence of God. Not a belief, not a faith, not a thought, but the conscious awareness. And a mortal cannot have the conscious awareness; the natural man, the mortal man. God is not with mortals. God is not in the human scene. Therefore, to have the conscious awareness you must drop that mortal, mental man, or woman.

Accept your Christhood now. Not at some future time. Accept your Christhood. In Christ, in your Christhood, you can hear the Word of God, the still small Voice and you have the Conscious Awareness of the living God.

Begin now to make the transition from a mortal, sitting down to meditate, from a human being trying to reach God, make the transition now. You are not trying to listen to Christ; you are the Christ listening to your Father. And the Christ and the Father are One, as an experience. It is time, for us to live as Christ. Come out of the grave of living as a mortal.

Does the Christ seek companionship or is the Christ a companion to all that is? Does the Christ seek love or does the Christ pour out love? Then you must pour out love, you must be a companion to the sun, the wind, the trees, the bushes, the insects, the animals, your neighbors, your enemies, the earth, the galaxy, the universe; all that is visible and invisible. You must be that Christ Presence.

Does the Christ seek supply or does the Christ feed five thousand? You must come out of the grave of mortality and be resurrected into your Christhood which knows all that the Father has is pouring through you; the Christ which knows that ‘the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof’ and therefore it is yours, yours to share. You must live as the Christ and pour out a blessing. Pour out your dollars, pour out your time, and pour out your love. But it is not yours anymore, is it? It is the Father’s and therefore your dollars, your supply, are infinite. And you will become consciously aware of this only when you begin living it; sharing what you have. You will become consciously aware that God is your love that your love is of God, only as you begin sharing it, pouring it out.

You become aware that God is Grace only by giving Grace. You become aware that God is Forgiveness only by forgiving. You must come out of the grave of mortality and live as the Christed One. And in your prayer and meditation you must be a Christ listening, that the Word of God can flow into you and through you as invisible prayers for everyone you see, friend or foe, Muslim or Christian, Buddhist or Hindu, Jewish or maybe nothing, no religion.

This is the only way that you can come into the conscious awareness that you are Christ listening to the Father and that is, come out of the grave of mortality and accept your Christhood and begin living it, and begin meditating as the Christ. This is how we make contact. Stand ye still and see the salvation of the Lord. Be ye still within your being and know the I am. Be still and come into the Conscious Awareness of the I that I am.

And so the answer to what could we have done differently, aboard that flight, is we could have stepped out of mortality and into the conscious awareness of our Christhood and listened to the Father speak unto us the Truth that sets us free, free from the mortal dream.

Each one listening to this today, this is your task. This is what you are here to do; step out of the grave of mortality and be resurrected. Let this be the last day; ‘and I will raise him up again at the last day.’ Let this be the last day that you live as a mortal. Let this be the first day that ye are born again. Come up out of the grave into your Christhood and be resurrected into your own Eternal Life.

Now listen to a portion of “Our Real Existence” which describes your Christ Identity:

Our Real existence is as Christ, and only in the degree that we perceive our real existence as Christ, do we drop the false sense of life as mortal. Then we see that the structural life of man, animal, and plant is but the false sense of existence; and our concern for the so-called necessities of material living has been unnecessary; that although the beauties we behold all hint at God’s creation, they are not that spiritual and perfect creation; that the sick, aging, dying appearances are not at all a part of real life. When we arrive at this state of consciousness, (which is where we are being asked to come to today) we begin to catch glimpses of eternal spiritual existence, untouched by any material conditions or any mortal thoughts. As we turn from the world we see, hear, taste, touch, and smell, we catch inspired visions which show forth the earth of God’s creating.”

So your real existence is as Christ. And it is about time we began to live in our Christhood. Begin to ask yourself, begin to struggle with this and find out, “How do I live as Christ?” Go into your meditation as Christ and listen to your Father. You will hear the Voice now. As a human being, you never could; “the natural man receiveth not the things of God,” period. But the Christ has ever heard the Father’s Voice and the Christ can obey. Begin to ask yourself, “How do you live in your Christ-Identity?” Paul discovered how and he said it out-right. “I live, yet not I, Christ liveth in me.”

One person in their Christ-Identity, on that plane, would have saved the entire plane. You know it, I know it. But should we wait until we find ourselves strapped into the seat, hurtling through the sky, before we decide “I think it is time I raise up into my Christhood?” You know the answer to that as well as I do. No. “Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” Today shall we start living as Christ.

God will never answer the prayer of a human being. God always answers the Christ. Choose you this day, which identity you are going to put on (serve). Will you continue to put on the mask of mortality or will you, in your spiritual maturity, make that decision to go for broke; to give up all that you have. Will you sell all that thou hast of your mortality and put on the cloak of Christhood and enter the Father’s house, your Father’s mansion, your Father’s Consciousness?

Always and forever, whatever the Christ once said, the Christ is saying now. And to the man that said, “I must go home and bury my Father. I have some funeral arrangements to make,” the Christ said, “let the dead bury the dead, but you come and follow Me.” Now we know that Christ is saying the same thing in this very moment.

To you, the Christ says, let the mortals bury the mortals, but you, come, come up higher, and put on your Christhood.

This is our work. This is our mission. This is our niche in life. To this end were we born, that we may put off mortality and put on our Christhood. Then shall your meditations be powerful, be fruitful, and be a blessing to all that are in your Consciousness and if you were sitting there, a blessing to all aboard that plane. Yes the Christ has ever heard the Word of God, and the Word was God.

Come out, come out and be separate. Rise up; rise up into your Christ Identity. Rest, rest in the Word that I am God. Open your Soul and receive the Holy Spirit for the union of Soul and Spirit brings the birth, that is, the awareness of your own Christhood.

Be still now, feel your Christhood, when you have a sense of it, when you know you have entered the Christ — now turn to your Father with a listening ear, and hear, what the Father says to Christ: “Son, thou art ever with Me and all that I have is thine. All that I am, thou art.”

Oh, blessings, blessings, blessings.

With Love in Christ

Joel has told us that the kingdom of God is within the “still small voice,” that if you want God, you have to go there. And that would mean that many millions who want God and pray to God are not in direct communion with God because they are not hearing the still small voice. I think you could clarify that statement by knowing where the still small voice is. So that would tell you why you either hear it or do not. And it’s really in two places. It’s in the Kingdom of God for one thing and if you are not in the kingdom of God you’re not going to hear the still small voice. For God can never be outside the kingdom of God. And then what are you going to hear it with? This mind of ours can only hear the world mind. It can only hear the static of this world. And you know by now that only your Soul can hear the still small voice.

So, the full statement would be, that the kingdom of God is in the still small voice, which enters your Soul. And with this complete picture at least we know where to go to receive Divine guidance, Divine impartation, Divine love, Divine will and all of the Divine qualities of the Father. We have been told that, “the Kingdom of God cometh not with observation.” And this must mean that the human brain with all of its probing and scrutinizing and analyzing is never capable of making contact with the kingdom of God. And then we are told to wait for the millennium or to wait to be ushered by a returning leader into the kingdom of God. And we have all been under some misapprehension about the things of this world, completely unaware that nothing is here but the kingdom of God now. We walk in it unaware. We think we are the creature, the natural man living in the world. And the great stupendous revelation of the Bible is that you are the Divine man living in the Kingdom of God, which is not from hence.

Here we stand in the kingdom of God, suffering, tyrannized, dominated, finding little surcease from constantly returning problems while the ground upon which we stand is holy. Why do we do it? Because we have not awakened to the fact that the kingdom of God is here and available to us through our Souls. The fruits of the kingdom can only flow when you are living in the kingdom. And if you just cast a casual glance in any direction sometimes even at Infinite Way students, it is sad to relate that we are not aware that we walk in the kingdom now. And so we draw upon ourselves the veil, the great cosmic fog, and we walk in the world which is not there while in the kingdom we stand blind.

The pity of it is that, this was the case when even Moses came upon the scene. And he didn’t say a word any different than we just heard other than to call it life in the Garden of Eden, with two people who did not know that they were in the Kingdom of God. And so the complete symbology was, here is the human race walking in the garden of Spirit thinking that it lived in the garden of matter. And here in the 20th century our modern Adam and Eve walk in the garden of Spirit thinking they live in the garden of matter. And in those intervening thousands of years the complete story of Adam and Eve has completely lost its meaning for the human race. It’s an anecdote instead of a description of a human dilemma. The cosmic mind, the world mind, the carnal mind (it’s all the same) are still fooling the human race into believing that there is a future kingdom, not a now kingdom, that there is a remote kingdom and not a here kingdom. And the first sign of light within your own Consciousness tells you that God is here and God is in the kingdom and God is here now and the kingdom is here now and we’re sainted.

In our third day in the wilderness– for us the third, but it will turn out in a later study to be the eleventh day. In the eleventh day in the wilderness you suddenly become aware, this is no wilderness. There is no such place. There is no such thing as a world. There is only the kingdom of God. What else could there be? And because My kingdom is not this world but My kingdom is here; we who accept the presence of the kingdom of God are privileged to begin an accelerated journey into Divinity. Your Divine birth and your Divine rebirth can never take place outside the kingdom of God. And the longer you remain in the belief that you are not in the kingdom, the longer you push away the very salvation of your being.

And therefore, our first wilderness theme for today, forgetting all about this morning and last night, our first, right now, is:

This is the kingdom of God.

We’re stepping ahead one thousand light years, banishing all the hypnosis of centuries that have waited for Jesus to return. This is the kingdom.
And therefore, were you to begin your wilderness experience in the morning with that; you would awaken with the knowledge that, I am in the Kingdom of God now. There are no human beings in the kingdom of God. And so your acceptance is incomplete if you’re still looking out and seeing something that you label a human being or a bird or an animal or a squirrel or whatever you want to see. You must see it Spiritually. You must see the mountain Spiritually and the water Spiritually and the atmosphere Spiritually and the activities of the world Spiritually, because all that takes place in the kingdom of God is Spirit.

Now the adjustment to living in the kingdom of God is quite radical, quite joyous, almost a total turnaround. There’s only one life, the life of God in the kingdom of God, and there’s is only one will in the kingdom of God. That banishes all individual human will. There is only one substance, the substance of Spirit, or if you wish essence, or if you wish light. There’s only one law-perfection. There is nothing but harmony. And so you’re going to have to see with the inner eye as you walk in your kingdom through all of the visible denials of that fact. Everything in the world will try to trick you and tempt you into the belief that you are not in the Kingdom of God and unless you are aware that you are and alert to the treachery of the world mind you will easily be persuaded that you are not in the kingdom that man is in.

You might go another step. When did you leave the kingdom of God? And where’s that word “you?” Because your answer will tell you who you think YOU are. If your answer is that you left the kingdom of God at some time and you’re not talking about I, the child, the Son. If your answer is, “I never left the kingdom,” you’re in truth.

Now let’s hope you can, with conviction, find a way to know that I, the child of God, have never left the kingdom of God. There’s no way and there’s no place else to go.

And so, number one, if you are upholding the truth that you are in the kingdom of God, to you that should be more than an assignment for the day. It is meant to be the beginning of a lifetime practice. I am in the kingdom of God now and it is here invisible. And the I that is in it, is as if it were invisible. I am that pure Consciousness which lives in the kingdom of God. I know that in this Consciousness maintained effortlessly, in spite of every attempt of the world to hypnotize you back into a human body and a human world, you will be the prodigal returning home. And you will find that the Father will come forth to greet you with the treasures of the kingdom that you acknowledge. All things will be added unto you because all things are here ready to be added.

Now this is quite different from the earlier days in the wilderness when with your senses you were looking at things and trying to figure out how they’re not there although you saw them, and when you were trying to adjust to this new approach to life. This is apparently easier at first blush because it’s right across the board – it’s total. This is the kingdom. The substance of it is my Father’s Spirit and my Spirit. The life of it is my Father’s life and my life. The rhythm of it is my Father’s rhythm. The will of it is my Father’s will. The power of it is my Father’s power. Now go ahead and prove to me that I’m wrong. That’s your attitude. Tempt me. Go ahead, that’s your attitude. And that’s the way the day is spent; in the Kingdom of God, not in the office, not in the home, not on the highway, not on a sightseeing trip. You do all those things but you do them in the kingdom of God. You take along this invisible Self, and to your joy, as you are making this effort to maintain continuity consciously, as the Spirit of God living in the kingdom of God, you are bringing into play that remarkable faculty which has the capacity to hear the still small voice. Your Soul will respond when you are standing in I Divine; I’m standing here in this kingdom of God. Your Soul will be awakened. And it has the capacity to transcend every trick of the world mind without the slightest effort. All that your mind has been trying to do in your adjustment period, your Soul does in one giant stride. But it has been waiting there dormant, as it were, for your recognition that, here in the kingdom of God I stand.

That’s our first meditation right now.

And so you find you’re coughing, don’t be fooled by it. There’s no coughing in the kingdom of God, and that’s where you are. And if you hear the cough ten times, remember, I am in the kingdom of God and that which is coughing is the cosmic mind saying, “No you’re not,” but I am. The fact does not change though the world mind makes your senses believe there is another fact than the truth.

Unwaveringly you remain where the truth is knowing it cannot be changed by the lie. And whether it’s a cough or any other form of disturbance, no matter how serious it might be, it does not and cannot exist in the kingdom of God. And that is the inner declaration which opens your Soul, starts it in flight. I am in the kingdom of God, now, and I will be in the kingdom of God all this day and for everyday to come and I will rest in that Consciousness and let it deepen. That of course is only a beginning.

The total demonstration of Jesus the Christ was that the kingdom of God is what I am revealing to you. Here is my Father’s kingdom. Live in it. Seek it first. There’s nothing you can do that’s more important than to consciously become aware of that invisible kingdom which has ever been present waiting for those who love God supremely. For how can you glorify the Father when you live in the world? How can you express the Father when you live in the world? Here in the kingdom we become instruments for the Divine expression.

Our Soul is discovered to be in its natural habitat, where it can weave the garment of Immortality, where its thirst for Divine essence can be fulfilled, where Spirit can kindle the Soul with fire. Here in our Father’s kingdom we find that meat that satisfies. We find the water that eliminates all need for thirst again. Here we are made whole, complete in the image and likeness of the infinite Father. Here you will be anointed. Here is the baptism of the Spirit. All this you open your Soul to when you accept the presence of the kingdom of God though it be invisible to all human sense. And the longer you live in it the more you will discover that old man Goliath is just the little guy standing on stilts, hiding behind a big coat of armor that collapses when you stand in your Reality. All the horrors of this world have no way to express in the Consciousness of the presence of the kingdom here now. You are nurturing that unborn child within you. You are feeding it Divine essence.

There will be a moment when something will occur in your life so startling perhaps and so sudden that you lose all knowledge of being in the kingdom of God. Instantaneously you feel, “How can I be there if this is happening? I’ve made a great mistake somewhere I have strayed.” Don’t believe it. It’s just the disguise of the world mind all over again trying to make you believe you’ve made a mistake. Trying to make you believe that something in you has in some way lost your way in the invisible kingdom.

But know this, please, you never have left the kingdom and you never have the power to leave. There’s no way out of the kingdom of God. If you try to leave it you cannot. What you can do is go back into a false self but you are always in the Kingdom. Only the false self created by a false belief in a world of flesh and blood and matter. Oh yes that’s not in the kingdom because it’s non-existent when you are forced to create a non-existent self it would appear that you’re not in the kingdom. But we’re talking about your Identity, not the creature that you once thought you were. And so whatever startling may happen, have the capacity to look at it with that beautiful phrase, “Who convinceth me of sin?” I, the Divine son, I’m not falling into the ocean, I’m not going to be buried under an earthquake. I, the Divine son, can never step out of the kingdom of God which is forever perfectly maintained by my Father.

That’s what temptations are all about. They’re trying to convince you that you’re not the Divine son and you’re not in the kingdom of God and they’ve succeeded fairly well for thousands of years. There can be a conscious realization of this and I’m sure it will come. All it requires is your willingness to live in the kingdom consciously.

The second meditation, the second day will be:

I can never leave the kingdom for I am the living Christ of God.

I am in it the first day and the second day. I am in it forever. I can never leave it just as my Father can never leave me, I can never leave the Kingdom of God. All that says I have, or can, or will, is a denial of the truth.

With this should come the capacity and perhaps the courage to stare at the iniquity and knowing it cannot happen and is not happening in the kingdom of God that I inhabit. And your fidelity to that is more important than your reaction to the iniquity. It cannot happen in the kingdom of God that I inhabit. I’m not stepping out to honor the iniquity. I honor the kingdom. That’s where your integrity lies; the courage to withhold your response to the iniquity in order to firm your unwavering acceptance of where and who you are and to trust it totally.

The third day:

Harmony is the law of My kingdom.

I walk in the midst of the visible discord knowing harmony is the law of My kingdom. I’m not living in the world of discord. I’m not walking in a human form in that world of discord. I’m living in my Divine selfhood as pure Consciousness while appearing to human sense in a mortal form in a world of discord. Against that Consciousness, practiced, practiced and practiced again; the tempter finds no capacity to penetrate your armor of Truth. And though at first you may struggle to maintain it, that struggle will solidify your capacity, strengthen your capacity, and every test will be an aid to the ultimate triumph. There must be these testings for the triumph to follow.

Your acceptance of the discord as happening, is the acceptance that you are not in the kingdom – and that is death. The penalty for stepping out of the kingdom becomes death itself. Everyone out of the kingdom dies. Everyone in the kingdom goes through the mystical death first and then transcends to higher ground. So you can win the argument and surrender to death, rather to, seemingly lose the argument, and transcend. “Peter lay down your sword.” You don’t need swords in the kingdom of God. Live your life on your Divine terms, not on the terms of the cosmic world mind.

This is the kingdom of God. The life of God is the life of the kingdom is the third day. The life of God is the only life in this Kingdom. And so, don’t stop there. That’s part of our problem. We take something and we think I’ve got to just hold that phrase, and stay with that phrase. No, no, expand it out. That’s the generic idea. The application of it is what is important. The life of God is the only life in the kingdom of God. Where the world appears, the kingdom of God is. Where other lives appear, the kingdom of God is and the life of God is. And so this dead man that you’re called upon to resurrect, is he dead? The life of God is there says Jesus the Christ. This is not a dead man. Oh yes, I saw a soldier come over and get into an altercation with him and stab him to death. And he’s lying in his coffin. But he didn’t choose to die. He’s not a suicide case. It was not his will to die. He’s not beyond redemption even now because what you saw happen, happened in your world. But what I know happens, happens there in the Kingdom, where you see the world. And I see the life of the Father where the world sees the life of a man. And says Jesus the Christ, “Watch, I’ll prove it.” And the boy sits up in the coffin.

What else is the demonstration telling us? That there are two lives there. The one the world sees and the one that is in the kingdom of God. Where do healings take place if not in the kingdom of God? Where the world saw the sick person, the comatose person, the dead person, the leper and so forth, the Soul of you sees the life that is Divine and in the recognition of it, manifests it invisibly in the Kingdom and brings it forth through the Soul of the so called deceased or diseased individual because there is one life, one Soul. And that which appears finally as a healing is the revelation of Jesus the Christ that here is the kingdom of God right where the world sees dying people and here is the infinite, eternal life of God, all here! And that is why it is manifesting as Lazarus walking forth, the comatose girl awakening, the little boy in the village of Naim sitting up and the nobleman’s son recovering. Proving here is the kingdom of God, here is the life of God. And it can’t be just in that little spot over there. It is omnipresent. It is living in the kingdom of God, in the Consciousness of the life of God as the one who is ready to manifest that life. And that one should be you. That is our quest, our mission. We our here, wherever possible, to bear witness to the life of God in our self, in our fellow man. And whenever the opportunity arises for you to know the truth it will be done by you only if you are living in your Divine Consciousness in your Divine kingdom, in your Divine selfhood. You can’t change paths suddenly to meet an emergency. You’ve got to be there, and the emergency may be you.

We’ve covered approximately thirteen days in the wilderness and although this is only a trial run, even in our trial run here now, you should be developing a confidence, a feeling that it is within the realm of attainment. It isn’t as remote as it may have seemed at one time. After all, who’s the hero but the Spirit itself? And so your proper identity at this moment should be, I am that eternal Life which is the only life in the kingdom of God.

And then your fourth principle for the fourth day would be:

I am the life of every self who walks this earth.

I am the one invisible Life of every human self. That’s important because if you’re not the life of every human self then you’re accepting a finite life, and there is none. So you lose your life unless you accept your Self to be the life of all.

Now we did that earlier but now you’re doing it in a slightly different way. You are doing it with the knowledge that you’re living in the Kingdom of God where there is only one life. Before you did it without knowing or thinking or feeling that you are living in the Kingdom of God. Now this gives you a portification to understand why you are the one Life. For there is only one in the Kingdom. Your kingdom is not of this world. But your kingdom is right here and totally available to manifest its treasures through your Soul Consciousness, not your mind consciousness, not your brain consciousness. That was why we had to stress at the beginning that brain hypnosis separates us from our own Divinity. Your only expression of Divinity comes through your Soul.

The bible calls it the single eye. “Thine eye be full of light. Thy body will…“ The body spoken of in this phrase is your Soul body. In your Soul Consciousness the light of your Soul becomes your Soul body. It will be the body with which you will live in the Kingdom of God. It will not be finite. You will not be its shape per se. You will see a facsimile of it. You may see a facsimile of many Soul bodies in your Spiritual kingdom. But there is only one Body. And everything you see will be a facsimile, or diminished symbol of the one infinite Soul body.

To practice, that I, am the life of every form walking this earth, takes you away from this personal sense of being which has been so hampering, so limiting. Let us practice that. I am the life of my human son. You see, the life of my human son is the infinite, Spiritual life in the kingdom, so my son’s real life and my life are one Life. I am the life of my deceased mother and her life is living as my life and both are the same life. She has never gone, only the form.

I want you to feel this. You are the life of all your ancestors. Throughout eternity, your ancestors have never died. Their life is still the one life, the very same life that you are. Accept it or deny your own life. Your life is the invisible life of all who have ever walked this earth. Your life is the life of your competitor in business. It’s the live of every boy who allegedly died on the battlefield. The same life was theirs and is, because that life is eternal life. The life never dies, the life is always present, it is always one. It is always infinite. It is always perfectly expressing the Father.

That’s why we have tried to learn not to be attached to form. The life is always present and you can never be separated from it. I can never be separated from the one Divine life in the Kingdom of God. And therefore it feeds me. It is my meat and my bread. It feeds my Soul. It knoweth my need. It fulfills all that the Father knows I need. Your trust in your life will be fulfilled if you accept your life to be without beginning or end, totally un-separated ever from its own infinite life. That is the miracle awaiting us all, in the kingdom of God in the life of that kingdom.

We are in Divine labor now and we are moving towards the experience of the birth of Christ. When a woman is in labor, or prior to that, she changes her whole lifestyle. She consults her physician, changes her diet. She gets a lot of sleep and a lot of rest. She asks friends about childcare. All her thoughts are about this coming event. She concentrates on it. Her mind isn’t elsewhere. And we in this Divine birth, let’s keep our Consciousness on this as the prime motivation of our lives. There is nothing more important than the birth of Christ in you, the realization that I am the Divine self of God. And so every sacrifice that you make is nothing more than a contribution to your own eternal life and every time your mind has a tendency to stray away from your prime purpose, your absolute mission here, it’s your function to say to that mind, “You be still, you are here to serve the Father,” and in time this mind will be linked with your Soul.

“After Jesus had said that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer and be killed. Then Peter took him and began to rebuke him saying, ‘Be it far from thee, Lord, this shall not be unto thee’.”

I will not let you go to Jerusalem and suffer and be killed. Now this is your mind saying to you, “Do not die to mortality.” That’s what this is.

Your mind speaks out and it says, “no, no, no, no, you can’t die to mortality. What have you got left?” Why did you get it in the first place? And this is the world mind’s attempt to dissuade you from your conviction that Divine birth is your mission. Jesus going to that cross knowingly to die, willingly giving himself to that, is the teaching to you that you will be challenged by your own mind in the form of Peter here. And don’t forget Peter loved Jesus. See, it’s not an enemy. It’s someone very close to you that says to you, “Once you give up your mortal self you might find out too late you’ve made a mistake.” So what do you say to your mind?

[So], “he turned and said unto Peter, ‘Get thee behind me Satan’.”

That’s what you say to your mind. Because that’s who it is; that’s Satan, that’s the world mind in disguise, pretending to be your mind trying to protect you from surrendering your mortal sense of life. You know it’s going to happen many times. It will take so many disguises and sound so plausible when it happens. It will appear to all of your instincts for self-preservation and you will see the logic of what your mind is saying. That’s why this is happening, to alert you to what you should expect, for the more you intensify your determination to live in the kingdom of God, in your Divine selfhood forsaking your mortal sense of life, so will your determination be matched by the cosmic or carnal mind. It is building a crescendo for a final confrontation. And if it can out-talk you and intimidate you, that’s what it’s trying to do. Or it beguile you with truth-talk, pointing out all the nice things you can do with your mortal life. And there are so many. So be alerted, to detect what is called the serpent in the garden.

“Get thee behind me Satan,”

…said he to a disciple, to a disciple who adored him.

“ Thou art an offense and an abomination unto me. For thou savorist not the things that be of God but those that be of men.”

Spirit has placed before us the Christ, who knows he is the Christ and the Christ, Peter, who does not know he is the Christ, showing us the difference. One wants to save the mortal skin of his dear commander and chief. And the commander and chief who lives only in his Divine selfhood, is perfectly ready to demonstrate, he’s not in that form.

“For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it.”

Whosoever refuses to mount the cross, whosoever refuses to move out of mortal sense and to move into the acceptance of Divinity here and now, in the kingdom here and now. Whosoever cannot catch that vision and tries to save his mortal life, will lose it. Time will take care of that.

This to you is your confirmation, that is the will of God expressed through Christ, that you try not to save your mortal life. And he goes further by telling you that by trying to save it you will lose it, which you already know. Because everyone who has passed from this earth has not passed because they were living in their Divine life. They have passed because it was necessary for them once more to return to find their Divine life they were unaware of with those thousands of exceptions who did discover their own Divine reality and made the transition.

“For what has a man profiteth if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own Soul?”

When you reject the temptation to step out of your Divinity into mortal life it is because you are living in your Soul, but when you respond to the temptation you step out of your Divinity, out of your awareness of Soul and you lose it. And so even if you should gain the world, having lost your Soul, you have lost the only instrument which has direct contact with the infinite Father.

These are the stakes. You’re almost saying, you can, by your fidelity to remain in the Soul Consciousness in the kingdom, you can prevent the need for that death which results in reincarnation and you can bring into play, that inner resurrection which discerns, lifts you above the human death into the inner death of mortality, prior to death, which finally breaks the bonds of the world mind and exults you into the first heaven.

We are at this point given the capacity to determine whether we ascend or repeat. And it should be clear that you have that capacity to make the choice. A capacity you did not have before the demonstration of Jesus Christ, because it was unknown to the mind of man.

“Whosoever will save his life, shall lose it.”

Conversely, what happens? Whosoever will not try to save his mortal life, but will try to slough it off, will find his Immortal life. And your faith in the words of the Christ, will be rewarded.

[End of Side One]

“[So] the son of man shall come.”

The son of man shall come. Now we are being introduced to another idea here. The son of man shall come. Where from and who is this son of man?

We have been up to a point, the child of woman, the son of woman. Everyone walking this earth is the son of woman and everyone walking this earth is being told to become the son of man. That’s the transformation of the creature who is the son of woman, to the Christ, who is the son of man. The birth of Christ in you makes you the son of man. The birth in your mother’s womb makes you the son of woman. That was the birth into this world. The birth of Christ in you is the realization of your own Christhood in the kingdom of God, as Spiritual being and Spirit is the man who is meant here. This is a portent, a Divine foretelling; that as your Soul is able to mount from the first heaven and to find its way into the second heaven of Spirit, the mystical union there, between the feminine which is Soul and the male which is Spirit will produce the birth of Christ in you which is the son of Spirit or the son of man.

“For the son of man will come in his glory.”

Christ will be born in you; the child of Spirit.

“In the glory of his Father…”

And so this is the realization coming that that which you have accepted as being, that child of God which you say I am. And which you must live with, and be true to, this will come to pass as a realization called the birth of the son of man in you.

“For the son of man will come in the glory of his Father.”

This is Christ in you, the full expression of God that will come forth as the Christ of you. And always remember, although this seems to be something that will happen, it already has. This in not about a will that will come tomorrow. This is to tell you what has already happened. It’s trying to get you to realize that it has happened. It has happened. Christ was born as you. On the sixth day of Genesis, “In the image and likeness of God was he made.” And that is your name. But your Soul, moving through this under world, is finding its way back to its own kingdom of Soul that it may rise higher to the kingdom of Spirit where male and female are reunited. And the realization there that I am the Christ of God will then lift you into an understanding of your own infinite Selfhood which we are being asked to accept now before this realization occurs. For in that acceptance you will of course, change your certain lifestyle to comply with the requirements of this Divine birth just as a pregnant woman does. And you will cooperate with the Divine plan which is governing your Soul, the real prodigal. Humans are not prodigals, humans have no existence.

The prodigal is the Soul of you, with a descent from the Father into time, so that it may find its way back to eternity. For the lessons it learns in time, enable it to bring to its mystical marriage with Spirit an understanding which will be eternal.

This is an inner process going on in all of us now and we’re trying to cooperate with it by not adulterating it with facsimiles of truth, pseudo truth, all kinds of human opinions about truth. But rather, to follow scrupulously, the Word of the Father to the highest level of our capacity.

“For then the son of man will come in the glory of his Father, with his angels. And then He shall reward every man according to his works.”

Actually, the works are the acceptance of Divinity in the kingdom of God, and the reward is, that acceptance which begins with faith in the Word of God, is confirmed, fulfilled, expressed, made manifest; and you will walk consciously in the third heaven. For the marriage of Soul in the first heaven with Spirit in the second heaven, becomes the birth of Christ of you and your realization of existence in infinity.

This is the path of Christ, outlined to us by Christ Jesus, and I see no reason to do anything but follow it to the best of your ability knowing that you are walking the path of God. You are literally walking with God. And what is that reward? The very thing that we have been trying to learn, that we abolish death, we transcend death, here it is:

“Verily I say unto you, there be some standing here which will not taste of death, till they see the son of man coming in his kingdom.”

And that son of man coming in his kingdom means your Christhood. And then what is the death you face then? The death that opens the door to eternal life.

This has been here for us through every incarnation and it is clear. This takes work, and because there are more than one of us, we have the support of each other we can pick each other up when we stumble. We can learn from each other. We can support each other. We can, “Love one another.” And we can forgive one another when we find one who has not the capacity to carry his cross. This is the path to Divine birth.

Number one: This is the kingdom of God.

Number two: I have never left the kingdom of God. I never can leave it.

Number three: The life of God is the only life in the kingdom of God.

Number four: I am that life and therefore I am the life of all who walk this earth. I am the life of every animal, every insect.

Harmony is the law of our kingdom and that is the fifth.

When you practice the five days it’ll prepare to liberate your Soul that it may continue higher in its flight, it will release your Soul from the trappings of mortality in matter. It will send it on its way to the mystical marriage with the Spirit, because you’ll be cooperating. In the world mind you will be finding you’re own, its hold on you will be diminishing by the yard and by the hour.

Why don’t you in this final contemplation, run over those five points, to yourself. Just trying them on till you get the feel of them. But one day you’ll be doing them one day at a time and ultimately all at once.

I thank you again.

Soul to Soul and Spirit to Spirit – Greetings in the Spirit of St. Valentine.

This morning I was doing a little research on St. Valentine, who was really St. Vanentinius, and suddenly it occurred to me that we have received from our Father, three valentines and it never occurred to me before and so I went within and looked in my mailbox and sure enough there were three valentines towards the back. So I reached in and drew them out and I opened each one. If it would be all right with you, I would like to read to you the Valentine’s that we have received from the Father.

The first one says, “Beloved Son, thou art ever with me and all that I have is thine.” And this Valentine from the Father assures us that infinite supply of every nature is ours. Infinite supply; all that I have is thine, throughout all the ages wherever we may find ourselves, that infinite supply is there, omnipresent, infinite supply.

But there is a secret to this Valentine and the secret is this: Infinite supply is not given to a human being. ‘Son, all that I have is thine.’ Infinite supply is given to Christ. If we are living as human beings, we do not have access to the promise in this Valentine from the Father. ‘All that I have is thine, Son,’ is spoken to the Christ of our being. Therefore, to experience that ‘all’ of the Father, we must step into conscious oneness with Christ; this is the meaning of ‘no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.’

Therefore, if you would experience all that the Father has, turn within now. Let go of the human being, if only for a few moments. Take no thought about supply, about what you shall put on, what you shall eat or drink, take no thought about those things. Turn within, here within you is Christ, the son of the living God and all that the Father has is thine. Supply is none of these things, supply is invisible. It is invisible, spiritual substance and it comes at a moment ye think not. All that the Father has the Christ of you has now. But you must have a conscious feeling of oneness with Christ in order to experience that all. Never mind about the manifestation out here. Take your thought off of that. I don’t care what the pictures are, what the mental images are, we are not meeting a problem on the level of the problem. We are disengaging from the mental images.

Here within my being is the living Christ and all that the Father has, I Christ, have. Rest, relax, be at peace, I am here, I have all that the Father has. I will give it to you through Grace and Grace operates at a moment that you are completely still in Me. I flow forth and become your supply manifest. I give it to you, if you will rest in Me, consciously aware of our oneness. Here in your inner temple, the Love of the Father flows as Me, your very Christhood, and I manifest My supply. I already have it. Do not strive, do not struggle, do not try to manifest something. Lose your life, let Me manifest My life. All that the Father has, I am and I will begin to appear as you get your struggles out of the way, as you let go of your grip on this human life. Let Me manifest My supply.

It is not necessary to struggle. You do not have the responsibility to supply yourself. This is a misperception. All that the Father has, I have. Because of the sweet Love of the Father, I have received this Valentine. Son, thou art ever with me and all that I have is thine and It will flow into expression as you become still and let it. Do not hold up any patterns, any outlines, any idea at all of how you would like Me to manifest. I am infinite supply itself, you just rest, it is My good pleasure to give you the kingdom which includes all supply. Stop your thinking, stop your worrying, stop your wondering, your planning, only be still here, rest as if resting beside a stream of Spirit. And in your conscious feeling of My Presence, in your conscious oneness with Me, I will manifest My Being, I will manifest My supply. My spirit will form itself in ways ye know not of. And the secret is this conscious oneness with Me, the Christ within you, the Father’s Son.

As you become still, as you rest here, I, the Son, live you. I manifest, I express, I form. I go forth before you to prepare mansions. All that has ever been required is your resting in Me, just rest. I am here.

And so the first Valentine from the Father to the Son is infinite, omnipresent supply itself.

But look in the mailbox, here is a second Valentine. Let’s open it up.

And it says, “My beloved, I have come that you might have life and life more abundantly.” And so the Father has given us a second Valentine and in this Valentine is expressed the Love of the Father telling us that that infinite I, the Father Itself has given us life and life more abundantly and life eternal, life springing up into life everlasting.

But there is a secret and the secret is that Divine I, God Itself, has not given that life to a human being. Because we are told if we abide in Christ and Christ abides in us, we shall never die. And we know that is not true of any human being.

And so to receive this Valentine and the promise, the Love of the Father in this Valentine to us, the secret is we must turn within to receive this life more abundantly because this is the Father speaking to the Son and only that Son will live forever. Therefore, ‘we must cease ye from man whose breath is in his nostrils.’ We must stop looking at that physical form and expecting to find life in it. We must stop looking at mental images about a human life or a human span or a human being. We must leave all that outside. Here in our inner temple we hear I am the life and that I is the Christ of your being, receiving that life everlasting from the Father. And in order to experience that life eternal, we must have a conscious oneness, be consciously one with that life.

I, the Father have come that you, the Son, might have life and life more abundantly and I give you life eternal.” This is spoken to you, the Christ.

To live that life eternal we must put off any mortal life and put on our immortal identity. All that is necessary is to turn within and rest in Me. Abide in Me means to rest, stop trying to have a life of your own. It means having the conscious awareness of My life.

And this comes to you as you recognize Christ within you, as you renounce a human life and let Christ Life take over. Surrender your humanhood. That means desires for anything, a desire to heal a problem, a desire for physical wellness, a desire for harmony in your human life. Surrender your humanhood, good and bad. I live, yet not I, but now Christ liveth It’s life.

I am still, I am waiting upon the Lord. Christ liveth in me, through me, as me. Christ lives as my Infinite Body. Christ lives as my Omniscient Mind. Christ lives as my unlimited, Immortal Soul. And so I have but one desire now; to be a witness, to be a beholder as Christ lives It’s life and It’s life abundantly. Christ form Thyself. I, Christ, within you, form My Self as you give up any attempt to be or do anything as a human.

The secret to receiving this Valentine of life abundant from the Father is to stand still and watch Christ Life manifest and this it does as you create an opening through your stillness.

In the Silence, I, Christ, live. I have come to give life and life more abundantly. Infinite, whole, and holy, my life becomes yours. In this feeling of conscious oneness with Me, I, the life of you, and the Father are one and I manifest My Self only in the Silence. Son, thou art ever with me and all that I have is thine. And I have come that you might have life and life more abundantly.

Let us look in the box. Yes, there in the corner is a third Valentine. Let us open this third Valentine and see what the Father has to say to us.

And it says, “My dear, dear child, I am with thee always, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” And this is the promise of the Father to you, the Son, of Omnipresence. “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. I shall be with thee even unto the end of the world.” This is the promise of the Father, the Father’s Love that the Father is always to be Omnipresence.

But there is a secret to the experience of this Omnipresence and that secret is God is not Omnipresent for a human being. God can never be Omnipresent to a human being. A human being has a beginning and has an ending. The human being finds itself in places where God is not and because God’s promise can not be broken, and God is Omnipresent, the human being cannot experience that promise. So the secret is to turn within because this promise was given to that spiritual Self known as Christ. “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” This Word of God and the Word of God cannot be broken, was spoken to the Christ of you. Therefore, to experience this promise of the Father, you must be in your Christ identity. You must be consciously one with your spiritual Self and spiritual discernment will always reveal Omnipresence. That mind which was in Christ is in Christ now. That mind is spiritual discernment. We must leave the human mind outside our temple. Human thoughts, human beliefs, human concepts, human ideals, human wishes, human plans, human desires—all of that cannot know God. Therefore, the promise of Omnipresence can only be experienced in a conscious oneness with spiritual being.

Here in your inner temple, I am. I am your spiritual discernment and in a moment that ye think not, I am come, the bridegroom cometh. In this conscious awareness, spiritual discernment takes over and reveals I, God, Omnipresent. Here in your inner temple, you may experience the Omnipresence of the Father. Here in your inner temple, ascended up over the mind and into your Christ identity, the mind of Christ, spiritual discernment reveals the Omnipresent Father, God Itself, right here.

And in the conscious oneness of this, in the conscious experience of Omnipresence, I the living Presence of the Father, as the Son, appear and manifest as the life of all with whom you come in contact. And my love flows from them to you and from you to them. Because there is one Presence now and It is Omnipresence. And so the Father has promised you always, Omnipresence. That sweet, sweet loving Presence that we feel this moment shall always be yours, for the Father’s greatest Valentine, greatest Love, is to always be right here, in the very midst of you and in the very midst of all whom you meet.

The human mind sees four billion human lives, but that is only a concept, let it go. I in the midst of thee am the Father and the Father is the only life. The secret is the conscious oneness with that Presence, with that Omnipresence, flowing into you and through you; the conscious oneness with Me becomes the consciousness, the conscious awareness that reveals Me everywhere and in everyone as a living experience. Knowing this, you can never, ever be alone. Should you take a trip in an airplane, I shall be with you there, way, way up above the earth. Should you be on a ship at sea, I will be with you there, consciously, consciously you will feel your Father, anywhere, everywhere, I have promised I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

These then are the three Valentines from the Father to you. “Son, thou art ever with me, all that I have is thine. I have come that you might have life and life more abundantly, infinitely, eternally and I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. I shall be with thee always.” And all that is necessary to receive these beautiful Valentines is to turn within, rest, and here in the Silence, experience the conscious oneness of Omnipresence.

In your inner temple, your conscious oneness with this Truth becomes your living experience. No longer is it necessary to try to go and gather fruit to hang on your tree. Now “all that I have is thine” and it flows from within out, manifesting as your living experience, manifesting as that which you share, give and pour out. There is no longer any seeking, stop seeking. The Christ already has and pours out at a moment ye think not. No longer is it necessary to try to patch up your body.

I within you have come that you might have life, My Life, and in the Silence I manifest that Life. You do not have to ask, you do not have to beg. It is as automatic as the sunshine. But you do have to find that Silence within and rest there. And I really will manifest My Christ Life, tangibly as form, as supply, as body, as life. No longer do you have to seek for the right companion; no longer do you have to search for companionship. I am your companion forever. And the conscious awareness of this reveals Me and I will appear to you as loving companions, loving relationships but you will know it is not the many in the One, you will know now that is the One in the many. As a conscious living experience, the Father has promised and the promise can not be broken, infinite supply manifesting, eternal life manifesting, Omnipresence manifesting. These three Valentines, the Loving Father gives to the Son, which you are in your resting, in your Silence, in your waiting on My Presence. Now shall you see the Father’s Love flowing into the Christ and manifesting Itself. This is the gift given before the foundation of the world. This is what Christ asks for; “Father, glorify Thyself with the glory that I had with thee before the world was.” Thus does the Father love you.

Come within, rest, enter the Silence, be a beholder and the Father’s Love becomes what you are. Thus does the Father love you. The Father’s Love becomes you and out of your being will flow supply, enough to feed more than five thousand, as a real experience and out of your Soul will flow eternal life, end over end, whole, complete, living the Christ. Though, this will not happen for a personal you, yet the Impersonal Life includes a perfect expression of that life. And out of you will flow love for the One in the many and back to you from the One in the many. And the Father’s Love flowing as the Christ will become your identity. Thus does the Father love you.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God. God is Love and Love is Grace and Grace is yours, the Son of the living God.

Thus is the Father’s Love.

Please take a look at your world, not your neighbor’s world, not my world, but your individual world; the world you live in.

Are you showing forth abundant supply? Do you have good supply? Is your income 40, 50, 60, even 100 thousand dollars a year or more? Or in your life, right now, are you showing forth limitation, lack, an insufficiency of supply; where you can’t even afford to make your monthly bills or pay your rent? Are you seeing good supply, bad supply? What world are you seeing, are you living in?

Now look at your body. Are you seeing good health? Are you seeing a body that is functioning normally, heart rate working so many times a minute; circulatory system working properly; digestive tract, internal organs, glands, nervous system, everything working properly? No diseases, no illness? You’re able to maybe jog for a couple of miles a day? Are you seeing good health? In your world, in your body, are you experiencing good health? Or are you seeing bad health? Do you have a sickness, an illness that won’t go away? Are you suffering from pain? Are you experiencing a lack of good health? In other words are you experiencing bad health? Be honest about it. It’s your body, you’re in it. What are you experiencing?

Now you’ve looked at your finances, you’ve looked at your body, what about your companionship or companionships? Do you see harmonious relationships? Or are there inharmonious relationships? Do you seem to be getting along pretty well with everyone in your nuclear family, in your extended family, in your relationships on the job, in the community at large? Are you experiencing good relationships? Is your relationship with your spouse or your partner a good one? Do you get along most of the time, like the same things, there seems to be a general sense of harmony? Or are you experiencing some difficulties with certain people; some people that are very controlling in their nature and want to be in charge of everything, without giving you a say. Or perhaps you are the one doing the controlling and you really know that you need to work on that. Are you experiencing peace and harmony with your children? Are they demanding more than their share? Are your parents still trying to tell you what to do even though you are an adult? Is your boss domineering, lazy? How about your co-workers, do they slack off on the job and you have to pull some of their weight? What about your neighbors are they harmonious or are you experiencing difficulties with certain people? Come on, be honest about this, it’s your life.

Now we have looked at finances and health, and companionships, relationships. Are they good? Are they bad? Which one? You see this world you live in? You see the finances, you see the people, and you see your body?

Well, this entire world, whether bad or good, is nothing more than the mind. You are experiencing the mind. None of this is external to the mind. This world that you look at, that you live in, is in the mind and no place else. And even if it appears as a good body, a good companion or a good financial structure, it is only in the mind. You’re living in your mind. And even if it’s a bad sense of health, a bad body, an old body, a worn-out body; even if it’s a lack of supply, a lack of financial stability; even if it’s a discordant relationship, it is only in the mind.

All of you, if you see good or you see bad, if you see good or if you see evil anywhere, you are looking at your own mind; an image in the mind. This is the world known as ‘this world.’ And this is a mind projection.

How do we know? By what authority do we say these things? That which God made, is eternal. This spouse, this partner, with whom you have harmonious relationships, what would happen if you came home today and the phone was ringing and you picked it up and it was a call from the local police station, who said to you these words, “There’s been an accident.” “Oh my God! Is she okay, is he all right?” “I’m afraid they didn’t make it.” Where is that relationship, right at that moment? Everything comes crashing down, doesn’t it? Is that the companionship that God made? Is that eternal? Does that exist forever? No it does not.

And what about the good finances? Suppose you are making a $120,000 a year and your expenses are only $80,000. Well I imagine by now you have quite a few investments. But we all know from looking at history, you could get up in the morning and turn on the news channel and discover that there’s been a stock market crash and all of your investments are worth nothing. Is this eternal supply? Is this the eternal supply that God has given us? I think you know the answer to that. It does not last. You could find out when you go to work tomorrow that there has been down-sizing in your company and your position has been eliminated. Now how are you going to find a position that pays $120,000 a year? You might have to settle for $40,000 and quite a few of these toys and trinkets will be taken away, won’t they? That is not the supply that God made. That is not the companion that God made; the companionship that God made.

And what of this body? Each day that passes on the calendar it gets a little older and a little weaker, doesn’t it? Is it not evaporating and changing before your very eyes? How much say do you have in this? — Practically none. On this level, in this world, in which you are living, in this body in which you are looking at, if it’s good today, you can suffer a stroke in the morning. You can find out that something you bought at the store was contaminated and you are on your death bed by tomorrow evening. Is this the health that is eternal? I think we know the answer.

This is not a picture of God’s supply. This is not a picture of God’s companionship. This is not a picture of God’s health, God’s body. This, my dear friends, is the mind, pictures in the mind. This is not the world that God created. And yet we are told that right here is the invisible, incorporeal body of Spirit, a spiritual body. Right here in the very midst of us, in the very midst of you is the Mind of God. Right here is the incorporeal, spiritual substance which is supply. And right here is the invisible infinite eternal companionship known as the Presence of the living God. This incorporeal spiritual body, this eternal spiritual Presence, this Omniscient Mind of God and this invisible spiritual substance of supply, this is the creation of God.

Now how are you going to step out of this world in which you are living, this body and this companionship and this sense of supply and awaken into that eternal realm in which you live and move and have your being, once you have awakened? — Because this is in fact what we are to do.

Awake thou that sleepest, and I, God, shall give you life. My life, my invisible, incorporeal, spiritual body shall be yours. My infinite omniscient Mind shall be yours. The invisible spiritual substance of supply will be yours. And the invisible spiritual Presence shall be one with you.”

This is the transformation that must take place within your consciousness. In fact, before the foundation of the world, this is what your Father, God, gave to you. This other universe known as Christ Consciousness, this is your inheritance. And yet we settle for a limited mind picture of a body called a human body. If it’s not too uncomfortable we settle for a human body if it’s in pretty good shape. We’ll pursue that invisible spiritual body later on down the road sometime when we really have to.

And we settle for the limitation of a 6-figure income or a 5-figure income because it’s pretty adequate, our needs are met; we can eat, we have a place to sleep, an automobile, and clothes on our back, perhaps a little entertainment, certainly a television, I know we all have those. So we settle for a human sense of supply, when all the time, awaiting our recognition is unlimited, invisible spiritual substance, an infinity of supply. But we settle for the limited human sense of supply because it’s not too bad. Things are going pretty good and I’m paying my bills. When it starts to diminish in some capacity, I’ll look into this other sense of supply.

And we settle for human companionship, human companions really. Because we’re getting along and our needs are met; physical, mental, emotional. It’s a pretty good relationship; there are not a lot of troubles or disagreements. Well once in a while but not too bad. And should the day approach when I know that they will be leaving this scene or should something happen such as what we described with someone calling us and giving us the bad news; well I’m sure we’ll look into a more permanent, eternal type of companionship at that time.

Yes I know that there’s something called ‘My Kingdom,’ but this world is pretty nice. I mean it has its faults but overall things are going pretty well, these spiritual principles are working for me and my life is pretty harmonious, so I’ll seek that other life, that other kingdom, well, I’ll get around to it. Right now I have an interesting play that I’m attending or I’m going to a symphony or perhaps a ball game or there’s a classic movie I’m going to watch or I have a game of bridge with my favorite friends. But I’ll do a little reading tonight, some meditating. I’ll find that Kingdom, I have plenty of time.

The harvest is plentiful, this is true; an eternal Presence, an incorporeal, spiritual body, an invisible, spiritual substance of supply, an eternal companion, an eternal Presence, an eternal companionship with the Infinite Presence. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few — very few.

So it doesn’t matter if you have a good companion, a good body, good finances or a bad body, bad companions, and bad finances. Both of these—I don’t care which one you are living in—both are made of the substance of mind and they can change at any second. Let us not fool ourselves about that. The picture can change at any moment because that is what it is; a picture in the mind. This is where you are living as you see these things.

But Christ is calling to you, “Awaken, awaken.” Adam is dreaming and Christ is saying, “Awaken.” Do you hear that voice? Do you feel a sense of rightness about this? Something after all these centuries is calling to you? “My sheep hear my voice.” Do you hear the voice within you?

Everything, everything that you experience is taking place within your consciousness. These mental pictures are parading through your consciousness. But there is a higher level of Consciousness called Christ which is calling to you who are hypnotized, looking outwardly at these images. And it is calling from within hoping that you will ‘turn ye and live,’ and look inwardly and live.

My sheep hear my voice. And they follow me,” and they follow me into a new dimension, into a new Consciousness, into a New Jerusalem, into a new Self. They follow me into a new eternal Presence, a new companionship with the Presence, inside of everyone and everything; an Omnipresence right here. They follow me into a new sense of invisible incorporeal spiritual body that is never born and never dies. They follow me into an infinite ocean of spiritual substance that is supply. My sheep hear my voice and they follow me into a new Self, a new world, a new being. Turn ye and live.”

If you hear my voice, that Christ voice within you, and you do not follow, what will happen to you is you will no longer be able to, well they say that ignorance is bliss and now that you know the truth that will set you free, if you do not begin to practice this truth, you’ll probably find yourself pretty miserable because even when you are enjoying something very good, a promotion, a bonus, a new partner that you really feel comfortable with, an accomplishment like running five miles when you use to be able to run two. It won’t be the same as it was before, something, some inner voice will say to you, “And this too shall pass, and this too shall pass,” until it drives you to make the decision to go for broke. To put your every effort into laboring for the meat which is eternal. And if that time is now, if you are now ready to turn and give it your all, let us look at some of the things that we are suppose to do.

By now we should understand that we are living in a mental projection and we should be at the place in our consciousness, in our development where we translate everything we look at back into the invisible reality that is there. You live and move and have your being in the invisible incorporeal body of Spirit and you dwell in the Mind of God. If you are seeing anything else, you are seeing a mental image

Therefore you must start your day reminding yourself of the truth that you know. In your morning meditation you must begin with knowing the truth:

I live and move and have my being in Christ, in God, and God in me. For I and my Father are one. God is here, my true Self is here. I can relax and allow that infinite Self to live as Itself, as me. I am infinite divine Consciousness, Consciousness living Itself as Itself, infinitely.”

And rest in the awareness of that. Turn your awareness from your morning routine, turn ye and live. Turn your awareness inward and remember the truth about being, your being, God being, Consciousness.

If you have bills to pay, if you have a job to go to, if you have a paycheck to cash or deposit, you should be translating that back into the Invisible. You should pause in your car before you walk into the bank and close your eyes or blink and recognize the truth; know the truth that will set you free into your true identity. Which is that, “This that I’m handling, this check is not my supply; this job is not my supply. My supply is appearing as this check and this job. My supply is invisible spiritual substance and it is unlimited, infinite, and it is the supply that is appearing as these mental images of supply. But I know that is not my supply, this check or this job. My supply is invisible, unlimited. And thank you, Father.”

When you see that loved one or when you see that person you’re not getting along with, you should be translating that back into the invisible. You should be realizing right there, even if you have to excuse yourself to the bathroom where you can get quiet for a moment. But if you don’t do that, at least blink your eyes for a moment and recognize, “This person that I am seeing, good or bad, is not my companionship. My companionship is eternal. It is that invisible eternal Presence of Love which is appearing, in the mind, as this person. There is no good person here or bad person, that’s a mental image. God is standing right here because God is Omnipresent. God is that Omnipresence and that is my companionship, and that alone. That I have forever. There is no other companion.” And I don’t care if you are even turning out the lights and getting ready to cuddle up, there’s no reason why you can’t take a second and realize, “I am loving my eternal companion, that invisible Presence. That is what I am loving. And though it is appearing to be in a physical way, I know better. I am communing with my eternal infinite friend, my eternal infinite love, that eternal Presence.

If you step into the shower or the bath, as you look down at your body, you should be translating that back into the invisible. You should be recognizing, “This that I am seeing in the mirror or in the bathtub or in the shower, this is not my body, this is a mental image. I don’t care if it’s looking bad or looking good. It’s only a mental image.” You should be knowing the truth that sets you free which is that, “My body is invisible incorporeal Spirit. I am Spirit, made in the image and likeness of God. God is Spirit and I am Spirit. My body is infinite incorporeal spiritual body and that is the truth about my body.”

As you look out at others, perhaps someone at the work has the sniffles; you should be knowing the truth about them. It is not possible for you to step out of mental images and not take everyone with you. It’s an entire transformation. So that which you know about your true Self; there is only One Self. You should also be knowing this about your neighbor.

As you see them coughing or sniffling, you should be immediately recognizing the truth. Translate it back into the invisible. And if you see someone that appears as good you should translate that as well. “This that I am seeing, this perfect woman, this beautiful lady, this handsome man; that’s a mental image. There’s only one infinite spiritual body and yes it is perfect in the image and likeness of God. This person that appears to be sniffling and sick and unhealthy, this is a mental image. The truth is there is only one perfect spiritual body. It is an incorporeal body of Spirit. That is what is here, there and everywhere.”

The harvest is plentiful and the laborers are few. Will you be one of those that turns and follows that Me into the Kingdom of heaven? Are you ready to make that commitment? As we approach the New Year, are you ready to make a resolution to follow Me? Each of you must answer this within your own being.

We were given the story of the Prodigal son and we were told that ‘before he was half way home the Father came to meet him, fell on his neck and kissed him.’ How do you know if that story is true if you haven’t yet made a total commitment? It might just be that when you bend every effort toward translating this mental image back into the invisible, it just may be that before you are halfway there, a Presence will come to meet you and lift you up higher than you’ve ever been, pull you deeper within than you ever experienced, show you secrets and wonders of your true identity that you dare not even whisper.

We are told that the way is strait and narrow and few there be that find it. That is not just a poetic statement. That is an utter truth. Few there be that find it.

I believe Mr. Goldsmith was quite frustrated at times with what he called ‘mental inertia.’ I think he said it was one of the most difficult, if not the biggest problem facing people on the spiritual path today. He said that back in the 1960s. We are rapidly approaching, 2014. So it is fifty years ago now.

How many people do you know that have found this invisible Kingdom? How many people do you know that are dwelling in it, that have made this commitment to die completely to this world, to translate all of it back into the invisible until that invisible spiritual Kingdom is their permanent dwelling place? Can you count them on one hand? Can you count them on two fingers? Can you count them at all?

It would appear that maybe he was right. Maybe mental inertia is the biggest problem. Maybe it is true that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, that the way is strait and narrow and few there be that find it. Which are you? This you must answer within yourself, within your consciousness, within your being.

We have read, ‘as for me and my house, we follow Christ.’ And house, of course, means consciousness, so that individual was making a total commitment. ‘As to me and my consciousness, we follow Christ.’ All through the Bible we can hear the Christ saying, “Follow me. Follow me. Follow Me.”

If you have spent much time in meditation, I am pretty sure you now hear this same Voice within your own consciousness saying to you, “Follow Me.” Are you ready? Will you know the truth that will set you free? There is no book that can do this for you. There is no teacher that can do this for you. There is no tape, no CD, no DVD that can do this for you. This you must decide within yourself: “It is time; I want to enter the Kingdom.”

To those that do this we are told God gives them power to become the sons of God, the offspring of God, joint-heirs with Christ to all of these heavenly riches. Not the mental images but the real heavenly riches.

Yes, the harvest is really truly plentiful. Why don’t you make a total commitment to follow that Christ, to turn ye and live within your consciousness, in the invisible Kingdom, in the awareness that there is an invisible Kingdom, in the practice of knowing the truth that there is an invisible Kingdom? Why don’t you do that now?

Father, I know that I love you with all my mind, heart and soul. And I know I really have not been giving this my all, but I am making a commitment this moment to follow You. I will have these meditations; I will practice knowing the truth throughout my day. If I forget, as soon as I remember, I will practice it then. I will not think badly about myself but I will remember and practice it then, until this becomes a way of living so that I reach the place that I have been told about; that of finding that I no longer have to do this because it is doing itself through me. That place that I have heard and that I have read about where I do not have to translate things consciously but now that translation is going on within me automatically. The Christ Mind has taken over.

I make a commitment to sell all that I have to purchase this pearl of great price. Father, let it not be my will or my willpower to carry this out. Let it be Thy Will, Thy Power, Thy Love.

As we move into a New Year, why don’t you move into a whole new universe? Why don’t you move into the Kingdom? Why don’t you move into a whole new Self; a whole new sense of companionship; a whole new sense of body; a whole new sense of supply; a whole new you; a whole new Consciousness?

And now hear ye, what has been promised to those that hear the Word and do it:

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

And that tree of life means that you shall live forever.

He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

The first death was when you died to the awareness of your true self thinking you were but a human and the second death is when you die to your false self and awaken to that invisible, spiritual Self and you will not be hurt by that.

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, (that is, unto realization) to him will I give power over the nations:

And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.

And I will give him the morning star.

Which means your eternal realization of the truth of being will break the mental images to shivers. You will have power over all the mental images, both good and evil. They shall be broken.

He that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Which means when you overcome this mental image and step out of it, come up over it into your true invisible Self, you shall go no more out into that mental image. You will not live in ‘this world.’ Yes, you will still be right here but living in another dimension, a new dimension called New Jerusalem which cometh down out of heaven. And you will have a new name and that name is child of God, Spirit.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith.

He that overcometh will see a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth shall pass away.

And you shall see the holy city, (that is, the whole Consciousness) New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

You will hear a voice out of heaven saying to you, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and in them.

These are the treasures of heaven. This is the harvest; this is the pearl of great price. He that heareth these words and do them, is he or she that inherits this treasure. What God has in store for you is so far beyond anything you can imagine, and it is real and it is yours. Only chose you this day whom you will follow. Only turn ye and live, forever.

Come now. Come up higher. Accept this Path; accept this practice; accept this rebirth; turn inward. You shall be given a new name, an eternal Presence, an infinite supply, a spiritual body, an omnipresent Self. For All that the Father hath is thine.

The Wisdoms today give us an opportunity to have a fairly comprehensive review of everything that has gone before in this book, “The Infinite Way.” We have studied Immortality, The Christ, The Soul, Our Real Existence, Prayer, Meditation, Metaphysical Healing. And now in the Wisdoms Joel has strung together a necklace of pearls. In the original “Infinite Way,” these pearls of wisdom did not appear. That is back in 1949 when it was first published. But through the years as these inner revelations accumulated, he gathered them together and put the most significant ones into a chapter. And so if you have the 11th edition you have the Wisdom of The Infinite Way in your book. These wisdoms are the revealed word of the Father through Joel. And as such they are not to be memorized but rather to be explored for they are the pathway to the God-experience which transforms this world into the realization of the kingdom of reality.

Now some of them may be puzzling to you, others may be clear. But one thing that is important to know is this. That no matter how clear a statement appears to you, it is the word of God and therefore infinite and you can never know the full meaning. And so you must constantly know to plumb the depths of these words and let them open up for there are many mansions in every revelation of God.

Joel says, “I am going to give you the real secret of life. God is not with mortals. Take it from there.” He elaborates on this to say, “that if you understood the significance of the statement that God is not in the human scene, you could lay down your life and pick it up again at will.” And this is a very perplexing statement. We go to Galatians to find some of the answer to these wisdoms. In Galatians we find a very strange statement (Gal.5: 6). It says, “For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” All that matters is the new creature.

Joel calls that the Middle Path of the Infinite Way. Neither sin nor sinlessness, neither health nor lack of health, neither wealth nor poverty! He is pointing out that all ritual whether you do this or do not do this on the material level availeth nothing. And the middle path is the path that we follow between the infinite invisible reality and the visible world of concept. So that we live not in the world of concept, but rather between it and the infinite invisible in a state of consciousness that can bring forth from the infinite invisible its treasures into the visible. Not what we do on the physical plane but rather where the consciousness rests! And so the middle path of the Infinite Way takes us out of the material concepts of life revealing the spiritual reality of life and enjoins us to live in that spiritual reality through a special method.

That special method Jesus called to the attention of the priests and the elders of the church in his day. It is the basic message of all Christianity. You will find it in Matthew. You should hear it because it is the clue to the wisdoms of Joel. It is the clue to the Old Testament and the New Testament. And this passage is in I believe 42-44 verses of the 21st Chapter of Matthew. And “Jesus said unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?” The stone which the builders rejected! The same has become the head of the corner and this is the Lord’s doing. “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.”

Now the stone is the key to the teaching of Jesus. The stone is the key to the teaching of Paul; to the teaching of Joel! To the teaching of the prophets! And when you have comprehended the meaning of the stone, which the builders rejected but which has now become the foundation, the very corner stone of the teaching of truth; then you are on your way to walking out of the myth of mortality into the realization of your own true Self.

Now you first find this stone way back in Genesis. It is in the 49th Chapter. There is a description of Joseph and the stone is mentioned and that should be an important clue to you. We are going to Genesis the 49th Chapter 22:23 verses. This is the description of Joseph. “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: The arches have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: but his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel).”

Now in the 23rd Psalm, the shepherd, the Lord, which is the shepherd is the stone of Israel. The same stone that Jesus points out to the priests of the temple is the corner stone the builders rejected. He is referring to the builders of the temple at Jerusalem who were building an edifice made of physical materials. He was referring to all who reject the invisible stone for the visible material world. Now Joseph had this stone and because of it the bows of the arches did not penetrate his armor.

This stone you will find it in the Psalms and you will find it repeated exactly as Jesus said it—that it was rejected by the builders, but it is the corner stone. And then when you come up to the temple gate beautiful and you see the cripple raised by John and Peter, there is a great commotion and they are asked by the crowd to explain what had happened. And Peter explains “have you not heard about the stone?” Always we are being told that there is a secret meaning which when we posses that meaning; we, like Joseph, will find that the arrows of this world do not penetrate our armor. We, like Peter, can raise the cripple. We, like Jesus, can go forth to feed the multitudes and heal them and raise the dead.

Now perhaps the greatest story of this stone is in the work of the prophet Daniel. And so we go there for there is revealed the full measure of the meaning. We have the king of Babylonia five hundred and fifty years before the birth of Jesus and his name is Nebuchadnezzar and his dream terrifies him. He must have a meaning. He calls together his magicians, his soothsayers, his astrologers, every individual who can tell him the meaning of this threatening dream! But he has one problem. How will he know whom to believe? If he gets two different interpretations which shall he believe? And so like king Solomon he decides that he will believe the one who can tell him what he dreamed and then interpret the dream. And everyone backs away. Oh, we can read the stars but we can’t tell you what you dream, we can only interpret it. We are magicians, we are sorcerers, we are soothsayers, but you are asking too much, there is no man alive who can do that. And so he says cut them all to pieces, they won’t help me.

And this comes to the attention of Daniel. Now Daniel does receive permission to take the time to listen to his God. Daniel does find first what Nebuchadnezzar dreamed and second the significance of it. And now he comes to the king and says, “I have all the information you requested. Let me tell you what you dreamed and then let me tell you what it means.” And so we are in the court of Nebucadnezzar.

And now Daniel is saying to the king, “here is what your dream is all about.” Daniel 2:31-34. “Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his tights of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay. Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and break them to pieces.” Now he has told the dream that occurred in Nebuchadnezzar. And he explains that this dream is about the four temporal kingdoms that are destroyed by the stone carved out of a mountain ‘without hands’.

By this time we know that Daniel is telling the king that there is an invisible power called Christ. And that when an individual has a consciousness of the Christ, he has the stone carved out of the mountain without hands, which destroys the material concepts of the world overcoming the world and releasing the full harvest of the infinite invisible. This revelation of Christ consciousness by Daniel in the form of what he called the stone carved out of the mountain without hands, is what Jesus later was telling the world was the way to the kingdom of God. But we have to go one more step in this Daniel story, because if you remember, Joel has pointed out to us that the next consciousness on earth which is now being formed in us is Christ consciousness, is Spiritual consciousness. And here is the biblical authority for it for those who must read it in a book.

Daniel now says to Nebuchadnezzar, “Foreasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it breaks in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.” Dan 2:45. So according to the prophet Daniel, Christ consciousness would come to earth to smite the iron and the clay and the brass. And this refers to the material concepts which we all entertain.

Now the coming of Christ consciousness in you is a very unique experience. As you know you have been making the effort to see individuals as spiritual beings rather than material beings. And so if you made a valiant effort to do this you have at least reached the point where you can look at those who in some manner are not living up to what we would calls our own ethical standards; and yet we can look at them and say, “I judge thee not for thou art the Spirit.” But as you do this you will find that you have really gone no further than to trade a finite physical image for a finite spiritual concept. You still will find that you are looking at an individual and mentally saying you are spirit and you are translating the physical form into a spiritual form and imaging it is there as a spiritual form. Now that is all in the way of progress but it isn’t Christ Consciousness!

We must learn now to see an individual as a wholeness instead of a finite form of light. And you can start best by seeing yourself as a wholeness. We have not yet come to that place where we recognize our own whole being. To do this is an exceptional way to invite the activity of the Christ within you to reveal itself. Now you would go about it this way: As we sit here physically we know ourselves to be the Spirit and therefore we release the concept of physicality. But now remember that Spirit is not finite. Spirit is not limited. Spirit cannot just exist in a room. And so you release yourself from the belief that you are a finite being. You must see the infinite nature of your Spiritual Selfhood. Now that means we widen our concept at first, where does my Spiritual Selfhood begin? If I stop at birth or I stop at death then I have got a finite concept of a spiritual being between birth and death. So now I must lift the illusion of a physical birth and the illusion of a physical death because as Spirit I never become anything other than what I am. Spirit never becomes something else. As Spirit I am always Spirit.

Now remember the original statement, “God is not with mortals, God is not in the human scene” and if you knew the significance of this you could lay down your life and pick it up at will. Well we are doing it now. God is not in the mortal scene. But God is all and therefore the mortal scene is nothing but an objectified universe of concepts. And I am taking myself out of the mortal scene. Now I am releasing boundaries around what has seemed to be my life. I am releasing all boundaries of beginning and end. Letting the wholeness of my being live itself without my finite limited concept of it. I am laying down my personal sense of life opening both ends, the beginning and the ending, and seeing that I have no beginning in this place called time; in this place called space; in this substance called physical form. I am letting the Spirit be Spirit and entertaining no concept about it. I am expanding my horizon so that I can find no place where my Spirit begins, no place where it ends and no height where it stops and no depth where it stops.

We are releasing our self to that stone carved out of the mountain without hands. We are stepping out of the human thoughts of the human mind. We know that thought is automatic separation from God. Thought is the automatic separator from Self. Thought automatically conceives the material form in a material universe. But we are going beyond thought to find the stone carved out of the mountain without hands. We are going into a realm, which is transcending the mind. Getting out of human belief, concept, and finite thinking, because the finite thought can never encompass the Infinite truth. All human thought is divorced from truth. All human thought is destined to fail in knowing God. Only the stone carved out of the mountain can know God aright! Only Spiritual consciousness! Only your consciousness of Christ enables you to see God face to face.

Now as you dwell in this no-man’s land above the mind, thoughtless, you are laying down your life, your personal sense of self. And as you lay down your sense of thought, an awareness begins to rise within you that there is a universe all around you which cannot be perceived or cognized or discerned by the mind that you have just left behind. You are in that between area where not only are you not thinking but you cannot yet reach that new realm and you are waiting for the faculties of the Soul to assert themselves. And now there is a great missing link which you supply and which when you supply it, brings into perspective the invisible realm that your human mind could not discern. You are reaching within your own Being, not outside, but within yourself, into the kingdom of God. And now comes the realization that I am not seeking to find the Christ, I can never become conscious of the Christ that way, for Christ consciousness means, my realization that I am that Christ. It is I. That is myself. And when I am conscious that I am that Christ, I am that Substance, I am that Self which is one with the Father, then I realize that the stone carved out of a mountain without hands is my own Being.

And only when I am my own being consciously do the evils of the world dissolve. The substance of the Father is the substance of the Son. And the Son rests in God, in the substance of the Father. In God we become aware of the reality of harmony. In God we become aware of the reality of truth, the reality of perfection. In God we become aware of the perfect prayer. And we learn that prayer now is our inner vision of the realm of truth and the realization that no evil has ever been external to my Being. All evil that appears is never truly external to me. The only evil that is external is in my belief that I am not the spirit of God. As I realize my Spiritual Selfhood, I accept the infinite nature of being and there is no evil that can be external to infinity or internal in infinity. There is no evil that can be outside of Spirit or in Spirit. In my stone, in my awareness of Christ identity, of Spirit as the allness, of Spirit as myself, of Spirit as the self of my neighbor I have found that which keeps the bow of the archer from sending arrows to my heart. That which keeps the bullet of the assassin from my brain! That which keeps the diseases of the earth from my body! Always as I rest in the identity of Spirit as myself, I have found the hidden Christ. And as I dwell in this hidden Christ, conscious that it is I, this lifting of the I of the Christ as my risen consciousness, becomes the law of dominion over every material ill in this world.

Christ consciousness then is the secret of the Bible. It is the secret of all scripture. It is the secret of all truth. It is the secret of your identity. And only as you find the ability to accept the truth of your being as the invisible Christ of God, the Spirit of God, the Substance of God, will you then enjoy the law, the activity, the protection, the safety, the security, the love, the truth, the eternal Self of God as your own being. God is not with mortals. And therefore as long as we remain mortal in our concepts, God is not with us. It makes no difference if you study for the ministry and if you rise to a top spot, as long as you are a mortal in your belief God is not with you.

Daniel had these three who Nebuchadnezzar threw into the furnace. It did not kindle upon them. They too had found the stone because he was their teacher. And Joel has taught us all who have ears, who have eyes, who have in some measure caught this great faith of the Father that indwells us all, that the greatest revelation of scriptures are to show us that the human world in which we live, in which we experience the disasters and suffering is completely without reality. That we can walk through it. But to do it we cannot limit ourselves to our human intelligence, to our human mentalities, or even to our superior intellects. Rather, must we reach the great realization that, “I of mine own self can do nothing.

Whether your problems are financial, emotional, physical or whatever nature problems take, again we are told, no, it’s not out there. That is the hypnotism you are falling for. You are going out into matter to change matter and that is praying amiss. Rest in your deep well of Silence knowing that your consciousness is your universe; that everything you are seeing out there is nothing more than a mirror of your consciousness; then you find you are on your way to the great truth that as you dominate this false human consciousness, you are preparing the way for the rising of Christ realization.

As you dominate the human consciousness, you are enriching your knowledge of truth; opening a way for truth to embed itself into your consciousness and to expel the false beliefs of the human mind which have been implanted there in your subconscious and conscious human mind. And every evil in your life regardless of its nature, regardless of the depth, regardless of how long it has caused you to suffer is but a thorn in your consciousness. You can turn within to your consciousness, resting in the quiet, in the realization of your identity. And as you rest in that realization that I am Spirit and therefore there is only one law for me, one substance for me, one activity for me and that is Spirit; you are approaching the perfect prayer:  I am Spirit. My neighbor is Spirit. There are no conditions other than perfection in Spirit and you are recognizing that only Spirit—is. You are recognizing the omnipresence of God, the omnipresence of Spirit and that there is only one substance in the universe and its name is God, Spirit.

This is all done within your consciousness so that it becomes a conscious awareness of Spirit, deepening until you have a Spiritual consciousness, a Christ consciousness; that only the Spirit of God is. And now the faith comes forth to trust that Spirit. That understanding comes forth to know that only the perfection of Spirit can be there if only Spirit is there. You come to the realization that perfection is all that exists in the entire universe.

Do you live in the kingdom of heaven here and now or are you still on earth?

A year or two ago, maybe even longer, there was a series of books that came out called, “Left Behind.” Perhaps you have read them or watched the movies. They were based on the idea that there is to be a rapture. My wife enjoyed the books, I didn’t read the books but I watched a couple of the movies from the “Left Behind” series and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Let’s look at the scripture that most of this was based on and Scripture says:

Then shall two be in the field, the one shall be taken and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill, the one shall be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Of course, this has to do with the rapture and in the movies—it was pretty well done, I enjoyed them—everybody was going about their business here on planet earth and then suddenly, all at once, in a twinkling of an eye, people disappeared and there was nothing left but a pile of clothes.

All the people that did not disappear were those that were left behind and that was because, of course, they were not believers. The problem with this view is that we are taking the scripture and applying it out here again and it does not belong out here. The scripture is true; one hundred percent accurate. Of course, it has to be, uttered from the Christ. But as every other scripture which we have repeated over the years, this scripture is an internal experience—something that happens within your being, within everyone’s being.

So it is true that some of us are lifted up into the kingdom of heaven and others of us, for the time being, are left behind. So today, you might want to inquire, are you living in the kingdom of heaven here and now or are you still of the earth, earthy? Because you see the rapture is already in our midst. It is already taking place around us and make no mistake about it; some of us are being lifted up and are walking in the kingdom of heaven here and now. And others have been left behind to continue walking in this material world, this earth.

You know if you are walking in the kingdom of heaven here and now; you know if you have been lifted up and are being lifted up and let me tell you, the experience at first is very much the rapture.

Let’s take a look at Joel’s words on this. This is in the book, “The Infinite Way” and the chapter is “The New Horizon.” I took a new look at this recently and discovered this:

Above this sense-life, there is a universe of Spirit governed by Love, peopled with children of God living in the household or temple of Truth.

So you can see right here that he recognized that some of us are lifted up above the sense life into another universe of Spirit, governed by love and that there are people which are the children of God, living in this household or temple of Truth.

This world is real and permanent.

So he is telling us that he is living in this new world, in this heaven of here and now and that he has been lifted up right off of the earth into this other dimension.

This world is real and permanent. Its substance is eternal Consciousness. In it there is no awareness of discords or even of temporary and material good.

This he terms “Reality.”

The first glimpse of Reality – of the Soul-realm – comes with the recognition and realization of the fact that all temporal conditions and experiences are products of self-hypnotism.

You see those that are left behind are those that are still caught up in temporary conditions of self-hypnotism.

With the realization that the entire human scene – its good as well as its evil – is illusion, come the first glimpse and taste of the world of God’s creating and of the sons of God who inhabit the spiritual kingdom.

This is not a tomorrow experience. He is talking to you from out of that spiritual kingdom; here and now. He has been lifted up above the sense world which he recognizes as illusion and he is dwelling in the world of God’s creation, the kingdom of heaven, here and now and he is recognizing that many, many people have been left behind.

Furthermore he says,

The first glimpse into the heaven of here and now is the beginning of the ascension for us.

You see, we really do ascend. We are lifted up, there are two standing in the field; one is lifted up and one remains.

This ascension is understood now as a rising above the conditions and experiences of “this world,” and now we behold the “many mansions” prepared for us in Spiritual Consciousness – in the awareness of Reality.

Out of the tremendous resources of our Soul comes the instant awareness of all that we can utilize for abundant living. No good thing is withheld from us as we look above the physical evidence to the great Invisible. Look up, look up! The kingdom of heaven is at hand!

And so we see this man was lifted up and ascended above this world into another dimension, into something called Consciousness; into a realm of Spirit; into the kingdom of heaven, here and now.

And we recognize that the experience is once again an internal experience. There will be no external ascension because out here, in this world, in this sense perception, in the mortal thought – well, Christ does not enter that. You must leave all that and ascend up over that into Christ Consciousness. Then you discover the heaven of here and now. Then you become the son of God; then you have been lifted up from all those whom, for the time being, have been left behind. Of course, in the end, you will discover nobody has been left behind. But for our purposes today, we want to know, how do we know? Or rather, what things can we look for when we have been lifted up? When we have been lifted out of and above this world, into the kingdom of heaven here and now, what sort of faculties will we have? What sort of experiences? What is this kingdom of heaven like when you are living in it? So, let’s go into that.

This experience of being lifted up is not a theory. There are many of us, right now; experiencing this rapture, this being lifted up and really when you have the first glimpse, the first experience, there are no words to describe it. Rapture is pitiful – doesn’t even touch the outer edge of this experience. But there are several on earth, right now, that are being lifted up above the earth into this new dimension and they are experiencing a new heaven and a new earth, just as is promised.

Right off the top of my head, I know one in New Mexico; I know one in Colorado; I know one in Texas; I know one in North Carolina; I know one in Europe; I know one in Hawaii and I have met many more over the years who are no longer visible but they are still functioning in the invisible.

This is an actual awakening; being lifted up, out of mortal mind and into Christ Consciousness. This is an ascension that is taking place with many around you of whom you may not even know.

Some of us are rising and some of us are left behind. If you are one that is rising, being lifted up, then you know already some of the strange and wonderful experiences that you are beginning to have. So let’s go over a few of them.

This being lifted up above the earth and into Christ, brings with it new perceptions. There is a faculty called spiritual discernment which is not of the mind, not even of the intuition and definitely not any of the senses. It’s a new faculty; a Soul faculty. It is given to those sons of God who inhabit the spiritual kingdom. This spiritual discernment, this new faculty, the Soul faculty, brings many things.

You discover what ‘speaking in tongues’ means because, for instance, you read a scripture and instead of taking it literally, you are able to understand the hidden, inner, esoteric meaning. It just comes to you. You see it. And so you understand and are able to interpret tongues which means this new language of the Spirit. You’re given a new language. You are able to hear with an inner ear.

So you are given new ears; you are given new eyes. You are able to perceive, actually see things that you could never see with physical eyes. That is why we are told over and over that you can never see reality with your physical eyes but you can see it with your inner eye; through spiritual discernment. You can actually behold the spiritual kingdom, the Spirit itself. So you are given new ears, new eyes.

You are given a new body, a spiritual body, a “Temple not made with hands,” which really is eternal in the heavens. You begin to feel this infinite everywhere Self. You begin to perceive it. You can see it move; be moved by that Christ Consciousness.

You are given a new mind; a brand new mind which belongs to those sons of God that have been lifted up above the earth. This mind is the mind which was in Christ Jesus. You are able to become still and from out of that mind come statements of truth which are with power; not just words. Sometimes this mind imparts to you without any words or without any thoughts and yet the power behind that mind is manifest. This is an actual experience of those who are lifted up.

You are given a new Spirit which sometimes floods your being in meditation as well as out. Sometimes while you are just walking around or driving your car, the Spirit is upon you. It is real and a real experience (and I am feeling it now as I edit this).

You have the capacity, the perception, and the faculties to witness miracles, almost on a daily basis. And I mean miracles. Everything from finding yourself in the right place at the right time to watching disease, lack and limitation dissolve before your eyes and this without lifting a finger; without taking a thought; just by standing there in your higher Consciousness and watching, witnessing and beholding the Word of God, the voice of God dissolving everything unlike Itself. This is an actual experience. At times you are able to hear the inner voice of God Itself.

Of course, all those dwelling in the kingdom of heaven, here and now, means all those dwelling in the realm of God; that realm where God is; that realm where God utters Its voice; where the voice thunders and you hear it. This is an actual experience.

In this New Consciousness you are able to perceive the Christ, Itself, Omnipresent. You are able to see it acting, moving, expressing, and fulfilling the Father’s Will. This is an actual experience.

You are able to feel the Presence, that gentle Presence of Spirit, Christ, the Father individualized and this Presence moves through your being and you become one with It and this is an actual experience.

You are able to be so still that you are a transparency; a clear window pane through which the Light, the Christ of God, shines and this is a conscious experience.

You see it speaking through you, writing through you, moving through you. You are able to speak a new language; the language of Spirit which those who are left behind do not understand and take as something literal. But you, who have been lifted up into the kingdom of heaven, here and now, hear and speak this new language of the Spirit and this is an actual experience.

You are able to hear God’s thoughts. The Father says, “My thoughts are not your thoughts” and this is true of all those who are of the earth, earthy. But the sons of God who inherit all that God is, when lifted up above mortal thought, receive the thoughts of God, freely given. This is an actual experience.

You are able to stand in your eternal, everywhere, immortal Self and feel its infinity, its eternality, its Omnipresence. This, too, is an actual experience.

Of course you are still aware and you are able to look at all those who are living from mortal mind, those that for the moment have been left behind and you are able to see that they are hypnotized; that they are not at fault and not to blame. In seeing that this is just the hypnosis of mortal mind, you help free them and lift them up. From this vantage point of living in the kingdom of heaven, here and now, you are able to look out on all those who are left behind and you are able to say, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do,” and mean it. You are able to look at the men who have sent innocent people, strapped with explosives, into a crowd, who didn’t even know that they would be detonated. You are able to look at them and you are able to pray sincerely:

Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. They do not know who they are. They think they have to struggle, strive and take what they need by force. They are completely hypnotized. This is just that hypnosis momentarily operating through them and so, Father, open their eyes so that they may be receptive to You and come to see, even as I have, that the battle is not mine, that, in fact, there need be no battle for all that the Father has is mine. Open their eyes to their true identity and let this other be dissolved.”

And you are able to mean it for you are no longer caught up in the drama of hypnotism. You have been lifted up out of that field.

You discover, in this new dimension, that there is a plan; that God has a plan and that plan includes every living Soul; that plan is for everyone to be lifted up and that plan ensures that no one will be left behind forever.

You are able to love all that was ever made by God because you see what it is; you see through the pictures presented by sense and you are able to behold the Christ standing in their midst. This, in fact, helps others to awaken and be lifted up, for you are not lifted up just so that you can enjoy it all by yourself. You are lifted up so that you may help others, so that you may lift up others in your recognition of their true identity.

Yes, there really is another dimension. There really is a world above the senses and it really is peopled by the children of God and there are some of us standing in that realm, here and now.

Our work here is to bend every effort to becoming still and stepping out of the sense mind for we cannot lift ourselves up, but in the Silence of your inner being, in a moment that you rest completely, Christ Itself, lifts you up into the kingdom of heaven, here and now.

Why don’t you join us in this fellowship of the Spirit? Why don’t you decide that you’re going to be done with trying to demonstrate bigger or better toys? Why don’t you decide that you are not going to be left behind and that today you are going to make a total commitment to going within and allowing this Christ Consciousness to lift you into Itself?

There is another section which I wanted to read to you from “The New Horizon.”

This experience at first is like watching the world disappear over a horizon and drop down from before us.

Now this is Joel telling us what the experience is like when you are lifted up into the kingdom of heaven of here and now.

There is no attachment to this world, no desire to hold onto it – probably because to a great extent the experience does not come until a great measure of our desire for the things of “thing world” has been overcome.

Here he is cautioning us that this experience won’t come to you, you will not be lifted up until a great measure of your desire for the things of this world has been overcome. That is why I say, why don’t you decide this day that you’re going to be done playing with toys, wanting bigger or better toys? Because you will not have the experience of being lifted up or the rapture – we call it a rapture because the first time you are lifted into this experience, it is so wonderful, well you can’t talk about it. In fact, he says that:

At first we cannot speak of it. There is a sense of ‘Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended’ – I am still between the two worlds; do not touch me or make me speak of it because it may drag me back. Let me be free to rise; then, when I am completely free of the mesmerism and its pictures, I will tell you of many things which eyes have not seen nor ears heard.”

This is what we are doing today. Hopefully, we are telling you many things which eyes have not seen nor ears heard and yet this is what each and every one of us experience when we have been lifted up above this world.

There really is a kingdom of heaven; a heaven, here and now. There really are children of God dwelling in this kingdom, right here, right now. There really is a dimension in which Spirit operates you. There is a dimension in which you rest back in the recognition that invisible, spiritual substance appears as your need fulfilled and in the resting back you watch It as It manifests. You see It, feel It, know It and give recognition and gratitude to It as It performs and manifests.

There really is a dimension in which every where you walk, any place on earth, that Presence is right there with you. You find when you’re up in an airplane, in a jet, cruising at 30,000 feet, that Presence is there because you feel it. It is a real experience. You’re not telling yourself the words anymore and hoping that they are true. You are having the experience, the conscious awareness of this Presence. If you go out into the desert and camp out, you feel It there at night and in the day time. Out on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean, you feel that Presence; you feel It. You commune with that Presence and it is an actual experience and you know you are never alone. You know you have found the eternal Companion. Oh! I cannot adequately tell you how wonderful that discovery is!

You have been lifted up above the earth. You are dwelling in another dimension; a dimension that those who have been left behind cannot see, cannot hear or cannot feel and may not even believe if you try to explain it to them and so you don’t try.

You discover, on the highest mountain, there I am, as an actual experience. There is never a day now that goes by that you do not feel this loving, gentle Omnipresence. You have found the heaven of here and now and you are dwelling in it, consciously.

You discover that there is something called Eternal Life. There really is an eternal Spiritual Substance which manifests as life. You feel it in your Self, you feel it in really, everything you look upon, every living thing has that Spiritual Substance, that Spirit and you feel it. You feel it in your own body. You see it operate in those around you. It is an actual perception of a living thing and it is eternal and you know it.

What I am trying to explain is, when you have been lifted up above mortal thought, which is all that makes up this world, and you are dwelling in the kingdom of heaven, here and now, you live in a different dimension; you see differently, you hear differently, you think differently. You live with the conscious awareness of Spirit everywhere present, enfolding you, flowing through you, preparing a place for you, revealing the many Mansions in this New Jerusalem. This is an experience that is going on in your midst right now.

If you have not yet had this experience, you will, for there is really only one requirement and that is that you let go and die to these mortal thoughts; that you let go and die to a belief in good and evil, that you let go and die to the belief of separation; that you rest, become still and let this kingdom reveal itself to you. That is the only requirement. Then it begins to disclose itself to you, to your awareness.

Some of us are lifted up rapidly, really in the twinkling of an eye and some of us are lifted up a little more slowly, but all of us who turn within and invite the Christ to lift us up will be lifted up. “Not by might nor by power,” nor by any thoughts, “but by My Spirit,” are you lifted up.

Let us finish this today with the final paragraph of this chapter. This is the inner Christ speaking to you:

“I am breaking the sense of limitation for you as evidence of My presence and of My influence in your experience. I – the I of you – am in the very midst of you revealing the harmony and infinity of Spiritual existence, [of the kingdom, here and now]. I – the I of you – never a personal sense of “I” – never a person – but the I of you – am ever with you. Look up, look up. The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

— The New Horizon

Dear heavenly Father, I know over the years I have tried to get You to manifest into my world. I have tried to funnel You into my bank account. I have tried to get You to repair my broken body. I have tried to get You to manifest as a companion. I have tried to get You to do so many things in my life and now I realize I have been praying amiss.

I finally recognize that Joel was right when he told me you cannot add God to your humanhood. Indeed all of that must be left behind. I come to you with clean hands and a pure heart. No more do I bring my desires to your throne. This moment, I empty myself of all of that. Let me be willing to leave every bit of that behind.

I come within, quietly. I sit here, I rest and I admit I do not know what to pray for.

Let thy Holy Spirit be upon me. Let the Spirit make intercession. Nevermore will I tell you what I think I need. Let me reverse all that. Let me be so still that I can hear Your inner voice so that You can reveal to me what I need and You can reveal the fulfillment of that need.

Father, lift me up above the mortal mind. I am still. I am listening. Speak Father. Lift up the son of man; lift up I, Christ, in the midst of my Consciousness. Thy will be done.

In this surrender of self, “it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Be still now, be very still and  behold, the kingdom of heaven, here and now.

                                            Part II

Now whenever you’ve done that. You have turned your back upon all of the wisdom of the world that has been given to us by all of the sages and prophets and spiritual leaders. And very often we catch ourselves in just that predicament. A situation arises in which we find ourselves straddled, as it were, unable to make a decision which way to turn. And yet this condition has arisen because we were unaware of the kingdom of God around us. We were unaware that we are living in a spiritual universe and we have tried to act materially in a spiritual universe, trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Now suppose you reverse that and try to act spiritually. And suppose you’re at the moment concerned with being a spiritual being and you don’t know how to go about it. Now without an awareness of the presence of God, you’re going to continue working harder than you should because the human being can never go about it. It must be done by the Father within. The Father within must live spiritually as you. And so you’re in this quiet now; you’re determined to live a spiritual day, instead of a physical day, knowing that if you can live spiritually the inner will determine the outer and they will be one. Now all around you is this universe of God in which everything is finished; nothing can be added, nothing subtracted. But are you going to be a part of it?

Now above, above your human thought, and independent of your human thought, this universe is operating right now. It doesn’t need you. The universe will continue to succeed to function whether you’re here or not.

Now the consciousness of God formed each of us, individualized Itself as our consciousness. And if you remember the chapter “Our Real Existence” in The Infinite Way, we are told that the consciousness of Moses was leadership. Now this is God consciousness appearing in Moses as leadership consciousness. Now you can see that that same leadership consciousness didn’t appear in others the same way. In Paul, for example, that consciousness of the Father appears as the teacher consciousness. And in Jesus it appears as healing consciousness, in Washington as the consciousness of integrity of a nation, in Lincoln as the consciousness of integrity of an individual, but all this is a facet of the One consciousness.

Now where do you fit in? What consciousness is God expressing in you? And until you have your answer, you are moving blindly, unaware of the very nature of your own consciousness. Now you’ve had many hints about who you are. One of you may be the consciousness of love, another may be the consciousness of justice, another may be the consciousness of design or order, the consciousness of harmony or beauty, each of us expressing our own consciousness to the full forms that total mosaic of the one consciousness of God.

Now that one consciousness is the only consciousness, individualized as yours, mine, his and hers. And unless we’re drawing from the one, what do we draw from? If you’re not drawing your water from the reservoir, where do you get it? And if you’re not drawing from the one consciousness, aren’t you going to spin out the little you have and then have nothing?

Now to draw from that one consciousness is the function of the individual consciousness. For nothing can be added or subtracted from the one consciousness. And you know that silence is the way. And so in your silence the one consciousness feeds and becomes your individual consciousness and that is how you become aware that God consciousness is your consciousness. That is how you move, letting the Christ, which is God consciousness in you, live Itself. And then you’re not subtracting by your ignorance and you’re not trying by your ignorance to add something to God’s universe. You’re letting It spin Itself out, unfold Itself as your consciousness. Now that’s the nature of the oneness we must practice.

You can readily see that in that oneness the serpent has no sting, no weapon formed against thee can prosper. You’re in the secret place! The one consciousness is unfolding as your individual consciousness and what makes it possible is your fidelity to the Christ of your own being, your willingness to let the Christ of your being supersede all of the preconceived ideas that have dwelled within you up to this moment.

Now that is how we come into oneness. That is how the inner kingdom becomes the outer experience. It does take an inn, a mind, which is not so crowded and busy. And I think possibly Solomon had in mind, establishing in us the realization that as human beings when we try to build a better human life, we are really blaspheming the presence. We are really establishing ourselves as superior to God. We even go to the extent of saying, “God will heal me.” And you must know by now that to say that God will heal, to think that God can heal anything, is a blasphemy.

Now you may have got some literature this Christmas, some of these fine poems. I received one and there were forty points that we all ought to know and among them was God heals. Now that’s a blasphemy of God, because you know if God were to heal us it would be very embarrassing to say, “God healed me but not my father, or my mother, or my sister, or my brother. And I really don’t think I’m any better than they.” Or “Why should God heal Mrs. O’Leary or Johnny Jones and then turn right around and not heal Mary Kowalski or Freddy Smith?”

What would be the reason for God being so frivolous as to heal one and not the other? Do you see how that expresses a falsehood that God heals?

It’s as if, in this paper today, there was a notice, an article by Sidney Harris and he chastised Billy Graham. He said Billy made this statement which isn’t true. He made the statement that any child who cannot respect its parent will never respect anybody. And he said that statement is only a half-truth. Everybody will agree with it but in agreeing they’re blind to the other side of the picture. And his point was that the parent must learn to respect the child too. For if the parent does not respect the child, how can the child respect the parent? If the child sees things happening in the life of the parent, isn’t that child going to remember these things and live in accordance? And so his point was well made.

It’s very easy to postulate half-truths and make them sound very important. And we would all like to hear that God heals but you see that’s a half-truth. Because any God who would heal you and not your neighbor wouldn’t be God. And if God healed one, God would have to heal five billion. And if God healed one, that would mean there would be no sickness left in the entire universe, because God would have to heal everyone.

Now to come higher than the belief that God heals, is to come into the realization that in God’s kingdom there’s nothing to heal. And that is what Solomon is telling us when he tells us that nothing can be subtracted from God’s kingdom. How can anyone in God’s kingdom have something to heal? Nothing can be added! How could God heal somebody? How could there be somebody created imperfectly in the kingdom of God? And so you see the belief that God heals perpetuates the belief that God is not almighty. God not being almighty, people can get sick, because the almighty doesn’t prevent it.

Now this is part of our universal hypnotism: the idea that God heals and the idea that the children of God can be sick and need healing. Whereas the truth is that when you come to the reality of your being, you see that healing was never necessary, for the child of the Father is perfect as the Father. And the error is not in believing that God heals, that’s only part of the error, the error is in believing that we are less than the child of God. For only less than the child of God could need healing.

Now as you dwell with this, you will release God from any responsibility to heal you. And you will accept that that which the Father is I am. That perfect substance which is the Father I am. And rather than seeking a healing now, I am seeking the realization of my self. But when I find my self, lo and behold, I am above the need for a healing. Whenever someone says to you that God heals, you’re hearing it from someone who does not know God aright.

God doesn’t heal anything and Jesus healed nothing. But God reveals the reality of the kingdom of God which is ever immaculate. And we, in our human limitation, we look at that little crescent of a moon up there and think maybe it’s that size, forgetting that as you get closer it gets bigger. And so it is as you get closer to your self, your human problems diminish.

We must get used to, then, the realization that perfection is established invisibly in every inch of space and time and beyond. Perfection is now. Reality is now, and how can reality be any less than reality? Reality is everywhere and this perfect reality must be established as your consciousness. Now reality can never be less than itself; reality can never go away; reality will always be right where it is, ever-present being itself and it has no opposite. The acceptance of this perfect, invisible reality is the acceptance of the omnipresence of God.

Now why should our consciousness be unable to do this? You might have an answer in this: we have generally felt that our consciousness was our eyes and our ears and our mind. And you should be able to see very readily that when your five senses are still, you are still conscious. Your consciousness is independent of your senses, and not realizing this, we have generally confused them to think that our senses represent our consciousness. But you can be deaf, dumb and blind and be conscious. And that consciousness can deepen and deepen until you find it’s totally independent of your vision, of your hearing. In fact, your five senses are but a very limited imitation of your infinite consciousness.

And so to develop your consciousness, is to draw you further away from the limitations of the very finite senses. You can only develop that consciousness by living in it, abiding in it.

The more you dwell in consciousness, the more it will deepen and you will discover that your senses awaken you to this world, but your consciousness brings the kingdom into this world. Learn the distinction between your sense perception and your consciousness. And you will see that your consciousness is the angel on the right; your sense perception is the angel on the left.

Now your senses have a very important purpose when they’re used correctly. They’re not at fault. When you’re in consciousness, your senses will be obedient to your consciousness. They will move out and present to you the kingdom of God on earth. But to live in them, as human beings do, is to instantly separate ourselves from the fourth dimension of reality which is all around us. You literally walk in reality, unaware of it when you live in your senses. But reality lives in your consciousness and expresses when you live in your consciousness.

Now let’s go back to our friend Solomon: “God is in heaven and thou upon earth, therefore let thy words be few.” If that isn’t a direct revelation of the purpose of meditation, then nothing is. “God is in heaven, thou on earth, therefore let thy words be few.”

We’re listening to the Father within, Father in heaven within me. And therefore my words are few, that his word may be heard. Now that’s the way of life which leads to the expression of the infinite in your consciousness. God in heaven, thou on earth, listening within, letting the word of the Father express, and the infinite becomes our individual expression. Here it is even before Jesus appeared.

That means when you’ve lost something, in the stillness, the Father within appears as the substance of your need. That means when you have a problem of any nature, God in heaven, thou on earth, listening for the Father, discover that the problem only existed because thou on earth was not listening for the Father. And now in the listening the problem dissolves.

Now this way of life, this listening for the Father, as given here by Solomon, is exactly the same as given by Jesus, exactly the same as given by Paul, exactly the same as mystics throughout the world today. And the birth in you of that ability is symbolized in the birth in Bethlehem. For you see that’s the sign that you have broken through from this third-dimensional world to the fourth-dimensional kingdom. That Christ awareness is the sign that the Father within is a living word in your being. And you’re being nourished by the infinite Spirit.

This very line here ultimates in the birth of the Christ in your consciousness: “Marvel not that I say ye must be born again.” Now that’s three thousand years ago and here we are reading about it and two thousand years ago it happened in the physical world, as another reminder of what it must happen in our spiritual consciousness. You’ll find as you read Ecclesiastes, that it’s one of the few books in the bible that isn’t too circumspect. He speaks closer to our current idiom than practically anyone else in the bible. He speaks straight: “God’s in his heaven, you’re on earth, listen.” There’s nothing difficult to understand. The world simply hasn’t listened to it.

Now it’s getting near the time for New Year’s resolutions. So this is a good time to be laying up your plans about what you’re going to do about this listening, this turning within. Because why go through another Christmas without the Christ? That would be an empty Christmas. This Christmas let’s experience the Christ, each within ourselves, then you’ll discover a great secret. If we took a fork and put it through a paper, the way we put a pencil through a paper last week, you’d find that those little living microbes in the paper would see four different spears coming through. They wouldn’t know that these four spears are connected. They would be looking at one prong of the fork, and another, another, they’d be apart. They wouldn’t see the wholeness of that fork.

Well, that’s how people are. There are no separate people in the kingdom of God; they’re one! That’s a difficult realization. That which appears here as individuals is one in the kingdom of God. Each comes into an individualized appearance, but as the Christ in us is born, we feel and know the oneness of substance. There’s only the one Christ substance and that which appears as individual forms is revealed as one substance. But in such a way that we’re far beyond mouthing it or intellectualizing about it, there is a realization of oneness with all spiritual being. And this is above the level of time and space and physicality, but it enters from that level above as invisible substance and then appears in this level as individualized forms. We are to see the wholeness instead of the individualized forms as being apart from each other, separated. Now how are you going to do that with the human mind? How are you going to come into the realization of oneness when your eyes train each day to show you divisibility? Each day your eye shows you that you and God are two separate beings.

Solomon wants us not to do that: God’s in heaven, you’re on earth, listen. Let the spirit of the Lord lift you up beyond the human mind. Let that be the rising Christ. Let your self ascend and then in the realization of one spiritual substance called the kingdom of God, there’s an ability to let It become the health of your countenance. Let It live your life. Let It show you It’s a better bookkeeper than you are. Let It show you It’s a better arranger than you are. Let It show you that It has the keys to the kingdom. Let the power within you be the power. All of this is the awakening of the mind to its own soul.

Now let’s see more of Solomon, because he’s just warming up. But he wants us to know that there is an invisible kingdom on earth and that it isn’t necessary to think that inventions are progress. These are merely our slow realizations of the invisible infinite, and as we become more aware of that invisible infinite, more of these inventions must appear.

Suppose that at this moment in you, there was a conscious awareness that you are not alone, separated individual. That something of the universe is present as the living force right where you are. Suppose you had that realization at this moment, and suppose you knew that this living force embodies all of God’s love, all of God’s righteousness, all of God’s peace, all of God’s wisdom, all of God’s harmony. Now you know this is the reality and what separates us from it? Our memory. Our memory of the fact that we haven’t experienced this reality and we can’t climb higher than our memory, can we? We remember the gruesome past, the moments when we were unable to rise above our problems and our memory refuses to let us enter the kingdom of God. It refuses to admit into our present consciousness the perfection that is invisibly present. In all ways, we are letting our memory separate us from our very self.

Now did you know there were two kinds of memories? That’s your outer memory. You have an inner memory. Your outer memory only knows what happens to your outer body, your outer life. Your inner memory knows the complete eternal self. Your inner memory has never forgotten one single moment of its eternal selfhood. When your inner memory becomes alive to you, something in you says, “Well, how can I be less than healthy, secure, harmonious? Why am I concerned about things?” Your inner memory recalls to you the fullness of your present being. And your outer memory no longer can persuade you that because yesterday your heart skipped a beat, it might happen tomorrow.

People who pass out of this scene prematurely and without the realization of their true reality are really victims of their own memories. The memory that told them they were sick and they’re getting sicker. That’s a little corner of your mind which conditions it and it’s only your outer mind, your outer conditioning, your outer memory, your physical memory. Your inner memory is your soul. It knows the fullness of itself. It knows the fullness of the Father because it and the Father are one. This thin veil between your outer and your inner memory is made even thinner, even in this instant, as you begin to feel the pulse of light within yourself. That pulse of light is the Father within boring a hole through this human selfhood which has wandered alone, separated, a law unto itself. That human self which should be as archaic to you as the 1920 magazines with their old-fashioned pictures. That’s how archaic this human selfhood already is.

We’re living in a completely new age now. We’re living in an age of miracles to the physical world because behind the physical world is the eternal miracle of God, slowly filtering into human consciousness, dissolving human consciousness. And as human consciousness drops away, that which is never impossible to God, that which is real, that which is there, becomes today’s miracle and today’s headlines; becomes today’s miracle in your life so that you find just as the veil of space is rent, so is the veil of false health, so is the veil of human limitation, so is the veil of poverty, so is the veil of starvation. Biafra today becomes the kingdom of God when the consciousness is opened. The black hole of Calcutta is happening in time and space not in your Father’s kingdom.

Now each of us has a little black hole of Calcutta and a little Biafra, a little of this and a little of that, and our memories, but the pure light of the Father within transcends those memories, erases them just like chalk on a blackboard, unconditions the mind. You may have started out in The Infinite Way with a difficulty in meditating and then maybe you spent three minutes here and three minutes there. Your life should now be becoming a meditation; your life should be a living meditation.

When you have established that manger, where does it go? Is it temporary? Is it only there for a moment? For three minutes? Or again later at night? Or is that manger permanent? Do you see that must become a permanent dispensation in your consciousness? That manger must be forever. It’s only the beginning; it’s the opening wedge. God’s in his heaven, you’re on the earth, so be still, and that manger is the connecting link between heaven and earth. So you’ve got to put in the time, the effort, and you’ve got to establish the permanent manger that accompanies you throughout the day in every activity, wherever you go, whatever you do. That manger in your consciousness is Christ. It’s not Christmas just once a year, not for spiritual living; it’s Christmas constantly.

Now we have this Christ consciousness establishing Itself. Do you see that some days these words of wisdom that are in Solomon are just your normal consciousness? Why should there be a newness to them as if we had just discovered them? This is your normal consciousness: God’s in his heaven, I am on earth, I’ll be still. And now the kingdom of heaven within, the Father within, is whispering to the babe.

Is there a difference between the Father within and the Christ? Don’t you see they’re one and the same? Your awareness of the Father within is Christ. Christ is your shepherd. Christ is the secret place of the most high. When you dwell in Christ, no weapon formed against thee can prosper. The Christ within, he doeth the works. Father within and Christ are one and the same.

And you’re coming to the same conclusion from different entrances. When you have recognized as Christ as yourself, you have recognized the witness of the Father in you, the Father within. Whenever you discover the Father within, that’s your Christmas. Don’t put it on a special day. Don’t put it in a special year. The discovery of the Father within is Christmas, the birth of the Christ in you. And that birth brings heaven and earth into one so that now you, having discovered the Christ, also inherit the inheritance of the Christ and the earth which is the Lord’s, in all its fullness, becomes the property of the Christ, realized in consciousness appearing outwardly as peace on earth for you, goodwill on earth for you. Wherever the Father within becomes the living consciousness of an individual, there walks the Christ realized. “Thou seest me, thou seest the Father within. Thou seest me, thou seest the Christ, the light.”

Now this is our reality realized or not. Don’t seek it; realize it. Don’t ask for it; accept it. It is your reality. Don’t let the world take your reality in its memory, in its mortal mind, and make it appear shoddy to your human eyes. Simply hold on to that which you are. Be steadfast in the reality of the Father within who can never leave thee or forsake thee. And then you and Solomon are sharing the same wisdom.

How did Solomon get all this wisdom? He realized the Father within, and the Father within showed forth as his wisdom. That’s the same source for our wisdom. And it is the same force that shows forth as the healing grace of the Christ in your consciousness.

Now extend this; don’t personalize it to you. You don’t possess it; it is your being. It breaks through the illusion of separate individuals when you see that it is the being of everyone you know. Let’s never personalize the Christ as the Christ of me without realizing it is the Christ of you, of him, of her, and then you see you’ve broken the veil of him, her and me and it because all that stands there invisible to our human sense is the invisible Christ. What a world of Christmas we would have if the invisible Christ were realized as the essence of all that walks the face of the earth. Then in a flash the war would be over; the strikes would be over; the racisms would be over. There would be peace on earth and goodwill toward man because Christ would live as the consciousness of each man. But remember nothing can be subtracted from what the Father is; nothing can be added. This is the reality this moment, realized or not. And as you dwell in this realization, it becomes the reality where you are.

Our prayer is not limited to friend or foe, neighbor or nation. Our prayer is simply the recognition of the infinite, invisible spirit of God called Christ on earth, transcending all time, all space, all years, all days, all nations, all areas, all planets, and we dwell in the one consciousness undivided. From that, we find we are undivided from that one consciousness.

That one consciousness is ever-present, and its witness in you is the Christ. That one consciousness is present 365 days of our human years. That one invisible Christ is a 365-day Christ, on the moon or on the earth. Now that is reality and nothing can be subtracted. And as you dwell in the knowledge of it, you are dwelling in reality. The one consciousness then manifests in you, and you find that you are spiritual being. You don’t have a heart that can go wrong, or a pair of lungs that depend on anything in this world. You don’t have a segment for a life. You don’t have to be concerned about the laws of matter anymore than Jesus was. But you must pierce this veil of belief which has translated the infinite down to a segment in time and space. That which never was can never be, and there never was an opposite to the infinity of God.

Solomon makes it clear that before he wrote these words that he took the time to listen for the words of God so that he could bring us the truth. He exhorts us to do the same. I’d like to look at that for just a moment. It’s in here somewhere. “The words of the wise are as goads and nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.”

And so let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter. “Fear God. Keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.” Now fear we have made clear; is simply the letting the Father within be higher than the human mind. That is the nature of fearing God. It is the recognition that the Father within you is the law of your being. That fear is the recognition of the presence. It has never been known to fail that one truly worshipping the Father within has failed to find the way to the kingdom of God. Because this way of life is prescribed by the Father as abiding in me and letting me abide in you. And therefore as you do this, you are living in the rhythm of the Father’s will. And there is no power to oppose you in any way. There will be activities of the senses, posing appearances which seem to oppose you, but you will discover that they are only temporary guests of the inn. But soon the complete inn becomes Christ consciousness, a permanent, eternal Christmas, life eternal, knowing the Father aright.

A word of patience: we’ve really come a longer way than we all can realize at this moment. You can’t take heaven by storm. But whenever you find you’re having a difficulty and can’t find the center of your being, to let the Father within become the Father without, remember that one key word: time. It’s the invisible barrier and as soon as you realize there is time no longer, you will receive that necessary impulse to take you over the problem.

Time has many aspects of hypnotism. Work with it longer as you did this week at 8:30. Do it again for another week, if you will, at 8:30. Stay with the idea that my life is not a passing instant, that the Christ of me possesses my life as an infinite substance, extending beyond the confines of time and space. And as you grow with this as the Christmas moment, a newness will develop within you. Now if you feel like it, you could join at Christmas Eve at midnight in that realization. Some of us will be doing that at Christmas Eve at midnight, realizing the birth of the Christ in me, the birth of the Christ in my neighbor, the birth of the Christ on earth as it is in heaven. That will be our Christmas Eve midnight meditation.

                                                             Part I

Welcome. Very happy to see you here. Thank you.

We probably are in the most unusual Christmas of all time up to this moment. And it occurs that there’s a possible relationship between that which we experience this moment today and that which has happened in the spiritual kingdom. For example, ten years ago there was no such thing as a heart transplant and ten years ago you may not know it but Joel Goldsmith had a heart problem. He had to prove that his life didn’t depend upon his heart, and in proving it spiritually, his heart, which was actually a dead one, appeared alive. And this spiritual healing of the heart may well be something in the invisible which triggered the visible transplanting of hearts in our world.

That particular connection occurred to me and it becomes very clear that the man who two thousand years ago discovered that there is no time and no space unquestionably triggered that which we see in outer space today as the conquering of space. And so these are most unusual times and just as miracles are happening visibly, in a way that would have been unthought of even so much as twenty or thirty years ago, so we also are reminded of the statement that Solomon made in Ecclesiastes. He said there’s nothing new under the sun. And I wonder if you could include even going to the moon as not being new under the sun. In other words, Solomon was telling us that behind the visible, changing in time, is an invisible, unchanging, ever-perfect and ever-present in which the eternal self always lives.

Now we when we awoke this morning, we awoke just as we were born, as an old, an ancient saying: every man is born between two angels, one on the right, one on the left, and the angel on the right is the angel of goodness; the angel on the left is the angel of evil. And these are supposed to be man’s dual inclinations. He can go either way; he can follow the angel of good or the angel of evil and each man allegedly is born into this dual purpose, this dual inclination. And that is why when Moses gave his people the commandment, “Thou shall love the Lord thy God,” he didn’t say with your heart, mind and soul. He said “with ALL your heart, ALL your mind, ALL your soul,” meaning those two inclinations had to be reconciled.

Now we awoke with two inclinations this morning, one of which we were unaware, and one which was predominant. And you can more or less judge where you are in consciousness by the degree to which the angel on the left was predominant or the angel on the right. The first thing that happens upon awakening is that there’s a feeling about me; me has to do this and me has to do that, and that’s the angel on the left. Me has an important appointment, me has to get dressed, me has to eat, and that’s the same me that’s been doing this all of our human lives. That’s the inclination mankind follows.

Now you being spiritually inclined, perhaps your inclination was the angel on the right. Perhaps you began your day not with me, but with God, and of course if that is what you did, you were one of the very few in this entire universe who didn’t awaken to me but to God. And your day must of necessity be very different than every other person on the face of this earth.

Now we have likened the mind of man to an inn. And if you awoke in that inn this morning, your mind was filled with many conflicting ideas. In your inn there were many guests, there were many impulses, there were many concepts, there were many memories of yesterday, there were many hopes and ambitions. And although these were not all voiced, in that inn which we call our mind, this battle of the world exists every moment and the impulse that comes ever so gentle which says, “Let me in,” that impulse is usually not heard by the angel on the left. And so our inn is very crowded with thoughts of this world. And it takes these two thousand years to find a vacancy. It takes every minute of these two thousand years to reach the point where we become aware, ever so slightly, that the world we live in is but our fractional idea of the world that is real. It takes all of that time and then some because the me, the angel on the left, the personal sense, the physical, structural me, this is ever crowding out my awareness of the spiritual me.

Now we live in a moment. You have lost all of yesterday; you do not possess tomorrow. You have this instant and all of life is crowded into this instant. And this still is the angel on the left. This still is the illusion that life is being lived in this instant and if you didn’t have this instant you wouldn’t have life. This is the great illusion, that time is moving past.

Now as you pause, as you open a little place in the mind, you are beginning to establish your manger for the entrance of an idea that takes the angel on the left, turns it away and gently turns you to your true shepherd on the right. And now you find a manger in the mind, a place where you entertain a completely, revolutionary idea that this instant is not my life at all. All of my yesterdays are still existent; all of my tomorrows are here at this moment too. We are beginning to sit back and see the fullness of life instead of the instant of life.

Now in our bible, we have had a misfortune to the extent that even the great scholars, the linguists, who know the meaning of every word in Greek and in Latin and in Aramaic and in Hebrew, unfortunately they too were born with an angel on the left and an angel on the right. And the angel which they used to translate the bible was the literal angel, the one who sees things in the flesh, the one who was born into time, the one who was unaware of the house behind this visible made without hands. And so the translation of the bible has been a very uninspired translation. It has been given to us not by men of spirit but by scholars. Men who could recite the bible perhaps, word for word without looking at it and still not know the meanings of those words, not know the great implications of those words, not knowing that in each word there are many mansions.

Now one of the greatest mistakes, one of the most monumental, was made when a certain word in the bible was translated in a very limited human way, and that word is A-E-O-N. It occurs throughout the bible the aeon and it has a great meaning. It means the fullness of your being, not in time but in a higher dimension than time. It means the fullness of your being, not in years but in the attributes of God. Aeon is the total self of you as created in the divine image and likeness; it has nothing to do with time. And do you know that word is translated as in the bibles we read? Eternity. And it has thrown us away from the meaning of to know God aright is life eternal. We have thought that if you scoop up all the time there is you have eternity. And that’s as much its meaning as “cat” is the meaning of “mouse.” It has very little to do with the meaning except in a very minor way. To know God aright is life eternal but not life that is unending. That is included but it isn’t the whole story at all. There is a difference not just in quantity, between eternity and time, there is a difference in quality. And that qualitative difference is vital; it’s one of the most significant differences there is in all of the bible teaching.

Now you may have seen this difference expressed in the world “fullness,” not realizing that fullness and eternity are one and the same; wholeness and eternity are one and the same; completeness and eternity are one and the same. And to know God aright is a whole life, a complete life, a full life, not only in time, that is the minor part of it. It is a life without end, yes, but it is a full, complete, whole life this moment, now.

Now aeon, aeon has been translated many other ways. Wherever you see the word “forever and ever” it doesn’t mean that at all. That’s another translation given to aeon, and sometimes where you see the word “world” that’s another translation given to aeon. Our scholars have been very elastic wherever a word fits their purpose it takes a new implication to them and then they fill out their lines but they have lost the Christ message.

Now we must catch the meaning of eternity because this moment is eternal. The fullness of your being is the meaning of your eternal life and you can never have less than the fullness of your being, any more than you can have reality changing and becoming less real, any more than you could have God diminishing and becoming less of God. That which is the fullness of your being is the eternal self of you and that fullness existed five hundred years ago as it does this moment, as it will five hundred years from now. That fullness is ever-present and when you learn to live the contemplative life, which is really letting God create through you, you find that that fullness, that eternal self, is brought forth into the present experience. And the purpose of the word “aeonic,” “aeonio,” translated into our English structure as “eternal,” was to bring to you the awareness that behind the three-dimensional world is a fourth-dimensional world. And to bring the fourth into the third is to bring your eternal self into the present expression.

Now it is true that “aeon” has other significance. It means for one thing that there is a limited time age to all things. You may find that human life may have a limited time age. Oh, it may be five or ten, twenty or thirty million years or billion years, but it will be embraced within an aeon, and that aeon will be the duration of the time existence of that particular object or category of life. And so we were not going always to be in a human form; we’re going to continue to change but we will always be our self.

Now those of us who have caught this element of change find that we have avoided the stagnancy of those who have insisted on clinging to their present way, their present ideas, their present consciousness. They live in a world in which they are trying to make permanent that which the Father has no desire to be permanent. They’re trying to cling to a form of life, which in itself has no reality being only a fraction of that which is.

Now the contemplative life is that form of life which had come to you the moment you open your eyes and realize that this inn, this mind, this busy hotel, must begin to open out a little place in which the fourth-dimensional consciousness begins to enter into the third. I may be very busy but what about God’s plan for me today? What about God’s plan for me in what I call time and space? And in that manger we now establish a new consciousness. This is the beginning of the new consciousness on earth, the rebirth, the you coming from the eternal self outside of the three-dimensional world and filtering into it to begin to establish in you the fullness of your being.

Now this manger, this new idea, is a place that does not look at the world at all the way your five senses have been looking at it, the way your mind has been looking at it. This manger stands up and looks at your world and says, “There is nothing here that I accept.” This is a complete and radical departure from every concept that you entertain. This manger, this infant idea, rejects the complete, visible world for it is not my Father’s kingdom. It rejects all physical form. It rejects all human creativity. It rejects everything that we as human beings hold dear. For it has seen reality. It has seen the perfect self. It has seen the perfect universe. It has seen that which is veiled to the mind, crowded with its own beliefs and aspirations. It has seen beyond the physical form. And at first it’s only an infant, we hardly hear it speak, but establishing that, that new development in us, that is the birth of the babe.

Now that must happen. That is the first Christmas when within you is established the beginning of an infant consciousness in the manger of your mind which rejects every idea that is unlike the perfection of God. It rejects all forms of disease on the earth. It rejects every evil known to the mind of man. It rejects the illusion of birth and death and human spans. It rejects the idea of a segment of life that lives in an instant, that dies and is reborn in another instant that is coming from the future. It sees through the illusion that we live in events that succeed in time. It sees that within this time-segmented instant there is a larger universe behind it all and that the three-dimensional world which we call mankind is living in a four-dimensional universe which is the kingdom of God and that one is present where the other appears to be. This is the infant consciousness of the Christ. It rejects every bit of logic of your brain. It rejects all reason. It is unreasonable; it is illogical. And yet you see the unreasonable and the illogical happening today. No man has ever gone two hundred thousand miles outside of this earth. It’s illogical, but there it is. What is ascension but going beyond even that? And where do you go? You ascend out of the consciousness which sees time, space, material form, birth, life, death, into the new consciousness which says, “Behold! I make all things new.”

Now this new consciousness is already established in most of us. It’s kicking, it’s squirming; it’s the angel on the right and it’s always at war it seems with the angel on the left but it is there. We know, we know that within us is a new way of looking at things, a Christ way, a way that is not bulldozed by the appearances of this world. Now it’s taken two thousand years for you and I to come to a glimpse of this and yet in the twinkling of an eye as we release ourselves from the belief that there is a me that is going to walk through this earth today who can do something; there is a me who needs looking after; there is a me who is separate and apart from that which created him, the moment we relinquish that idea, we are feeding this infant, this new consciousness. We’re giving it a chance to grow up. We are building our fourth-dimensional consciousness within this manger.

Now when we open our eyes and look out this same old world is there, the same men who climbed into the sky and into the moon, watch that crescent grow to its giant size. Those men back on earth, who’ll come back to a three-dimensional consciousness. They’ll come back to the same belief that they left on earth: that there is sickness on the earth, that we have limited time spans in which we live, and this moment is life. We’re not going to make that mistake. We are releasing ourselves to the new consciousness and this new consciousness rests four-square in the realization that I and the Father are coexistent but the Father is greater than I. And though I appear in a three-dimensional form in a three-dimensional world, the invisible Father is present in me as the living Christ. That must come with impact. That must grow into conviction so that if you were there one hundred thousand miles out in space, you would know that “I and the Father are one. There is no place I can go that the Father is not. The manger of my consciousness has now moved up and up and up and it is taken over the inn.” It is the consciousness, it is the house, it is the fullness and now we have no place in our consciousness where any form of destruction, where any form of changing time, where any form of evil can take root, that was the purpose for developing the infant idea that grew into Christ consciousness. So that now the mind is no longer an inn with many tourists, with people coming and going helter-skelter without rhyme or reason, now the mind is one with the Father. Now the mind of the Father is the inn. And now you’re in the contemplative life where you’re letting the consciousness of God be your consciousness. You are living the Christmas, the Christ birth, as a permanent dispensation. Now Christ liveth your life. The me that awoke quickly reassessed the truth of itself and discovered there was no me. There is only the living Christ; there is only the spirit of God and the angel on the left is dissolved as illusion.

Now this must be a chore every morning until it becomes a joy, until we awaken not as “me” but we awaken in the kingdom of God in the consciousness of God and we rest there in the contemplation of that until each morning anew the Christ is born. This isn’t a birth in time and place and space; this is a constant rebirth. Sometimes the rebirth takes place twenty times a day. Ever we are re-borning ourselves, we are self-generating, for that grand moment when the consciousness of the Christ brings us the experience of eternal life in the present. When you reach through the veil to the eternal experience now, then you have caught the meaning to know God aright is life eternal. Then you have touched the meaning of “aeon,” the fullness of the divine plan in you functioning now in all its glory and there’s no reason for it to diminish.

Now this is not something for the human mind; that’s the inn which rejects the manger. This is for that in you which says, “Above all things I hold hallowed the name of my Father and his will in me.” And this alone enables you, in your complete fidelity to the Divine, to relinquish today to God: “There is no today for me. There is no tomorrow for me. The dying daily comes to the point of the birth daily. Each dying is a borning. Each moment of losing me is a birthing of the Christ which is my eternal self.”

Now in every birth there is the struggle; there’s a labor, and this labor is the war between the angel on the left and the angel on the right. The moment of time begins to separate and you find in the middle of time is a silence, a duration, a duration without passing of time. You split time like you split an atom, and as you open time up, standing in the middle of it, there is time no more. You’re in the vast eternal stillness; you begin to feel the magnitude of your existence. The fullness, the peroma, the realization of eternality now realized and then every moment of your present life becomes an eternal something stretching out into the fullness of the kingdom now. You are an integrated whole. I am the one Self. You embrace all that was, and is, and will be in the eternal moment. You are You for the first time instead of a fraction, instead of a passing second. Now this is your rebirth. This is how it will come to you and you will feel yourself being drawn out of your body, out of your mind, but present with the Lord. For that rebirth occurs as you banish the angel on the left, the inn that was too crowded to receive the impulse of the angel on the right, and you make the effort consciously each morning, each day, to remember that within me is a living presence and my denial of it is a betrayal of the Christ. My denial of it is shutting the bible and its message; it’s turning back the pages two thousand years and standing right there and refusing to witness the great event. This that happened in a physical world must happen in our spiritual existence as a realization.

Let’s go back two thousand years, then let’s go back two thousand more, and then ten thousand more, and see that no matter how far back you go that exists at this moment as the now. You cannot go back in time to any place that does not exist now. There is no such place in time that is not now existent. In this now, there is no place in time where the spirit of Jesus is not now existent. For just as there is nothing new under the sun today, there was nothing new under the sun then. The spirit of God has always been existent and that Spirit of God is existent now. It has not changed. It has not aged. Nothing has brought it to a different degree of Itself that It was at that moment and is at this moment. And the spirit of God that is you existed in these six, ten, fifteen thousand years ago as It does now. And you must begin to feel this because this is the meaning of the eternal self now. The fullness of your being is stretched out invisibly throughout this invisible universe this moment. And in the flash that it all becomes part of your realization, like a complete landscape becoming visible in a lightning flash, so this too becomes suddenly an awareness of you. Maybe you could compare it to a man who is drowning and in the minute or two between being saved and drowning he sees his complete life, as it were, going before him, a great kaleidoscope. He didn’t realize the detail that was possible to review all of his years and yet in two minutes he remembers things he didn’t know he knew. He sees faces; he actually does more than just remember them, he becomes part of that past. That past becomes part of his present; they become one. He finds they never went anywhere; they existed. His past is his present in that kaleidoscopic two minutes he sees his life and his complete relationship.

Now the Christ of you will see all of your life, not just this human span in two minutes. The Christ of you will see your complete eternal selfhood beyond time and space and It will see it in a moment when you think not. In that eternal instant, you know the meaning of every word that every sage has ever uttered. In that eternal instant, you know why we were told throughout the bible to fear God, meaning to open a place in consciousness for the birth of the Christ, for that alone in you which could receive from God the fullness of your own being. That word “fullness” then an eternal, a synonymous, and when Jesus says to the cripple, “Wilst thou be made whole?” He is saying, “Would you realize your eternal life now?”

Now then we’re in our manger; we’re in contemplation; we’re in the stillness. Contemplation becomes a very creative, inspiring and uplifting experience. Now we’re not in a human mind trying to figure out how to make the day better. We are in something which can bring to us substance, eternal substance. The substance of life itself can flow to us in this contemplation: “As I abide in the Father, my inn is not too busy. I am in the manger of truth abiding. And I am feeding this Christ child truth that will nourish it, rear it, bring it up to a higher self. And this rising Christ within me is going to pierce the veil of illusion about my changing life in time and my changing life in space, my life which is needful of things. This rising Christ in me is going to replace the temporary transient in human form who thought that he could do a better job than the Father.”

And all this is the purpose of our presence on this earth to find that glorious moment when the mind can relax and know that there is in me the child of God. Not as an idea or an abstraction but behind this veil of flesh, of time, of space, of moving objects is my larger self, my unending self, the self that existed before the world was, before a form appeared in time, the self that is eternally immaculate, the self that was symbolized in the virgin birth. This self I begin to recognize as my own being. My own human mind becomes the earth getting smaller and smaller as I approach the moon getting larger and larger. And that earth whirling around nineteen miles per second looks just like a tiny top, almost as if it could never contain three billion people and huge cities. We see that aeon comprises all of these objects called planets, stars, oceans. That what we have thought is mighty and big are just small pieces in a great big whole. This wholeness, this freedom of knowing, that I am beyond the world of time and space, that I and Father are the one substance, the one life, the one being, this is the moment of joy in which you are renewed.

This is when substance flows through your consciousness, and that substance, that substance is the eternal substance, the eternal experience making itself manifest. This is the substance of all things, of all form, of all life, and this substance forms itself as every need throughout your eternal selfhood. Without this substance, we are not the children of God and we show forth the sufferings of this separation.

The sculptor, who fashions his various objects from the original substance that he works from, knows very well that his art will be no better than the quality of his materials. He would no longer think of working on a substance that tomorrow would melt, that tomorrow would no longer be, in which his cherished ideas would then be no more. He chooses a substance that will last and the substance of God is everlasting. When that is the substance from which your life is sprung, that substance is the power of your life. And when you separate yourself from it, it is because you have not established the Christ in the manger which alone is the living substance of the living Father. That is the substance of God in you. That is the nature of the Christ. And as you become aware of it, you have begun to live the words of the bible instead of reading them. They have begun to accomplish their purpose in you. They are making you put the Christ higher than your physical self. They are making you aware that as long as you hold the Christ away, you are standing in the way of the will of the Father.

Now I know from my own limited experience some of the difficulties of a lazy human being who thinks he can put it off because his inn is too crowded. And I also know some of the joys of not putting it off and emptying that inn sufficiently to dwell even if hours are necessary for the first glimmer of that invisible eternal presence. And yes, it does take hours sometimes, but every moment of those hours is spent in a way far more rewarding than the way those moments could have been spent. For finally the illumination of that presence does in two minutes what it had taken fifty years to try to do. Just as in two minutes the drowning man saw his entire fifty years of life, so in less than two minutes the Christ brings in to conscious awareness the realization of God’s presence which is the eternal presence. And all of infinity, all of eternality is present in that moment of realization. You remember that great revelation of Joel’s: “My conscious union with God is my oneness with all spiritual being and all spiritual form and all spiritual life.” And you see that moment of Christhood is your oneness in which the eternal self of your being is realized here and now. In that moment the angel on the left is dissolved. In that moment there is only one inclination and that is the perfect path to selfhood.

There is nothing new under the sun, but there is a complete newness in store for each of us as we see through the sun, through the physical, through the world of changing images in time. And where as you may have thought, contemplation was just a resting quietly and waiting and listening, contemplation is the inspired inner obedience to the eternal self of your own being. Suppose you were in a ship in the sky and could not see around you and your radio was your only communication, you would listen very carefully to that radio. Your complete attention would be to the words that come through that radio from the ground crew to tell you where you are. You would be listening intently. It would be a matter of human life or death. We learn to listen intently that way to the spirit of the Father. It really is a matter of life or death, because the listening is life. And as we listen intently, we draw into ourselves a substance which manifests as what we call life and that substance manifests itself in the forms of fullness to the degree that we have emptied ourselves of the concepts of limitation.

Now you’re going to have either another Christmas or a spiritual Christmas, a living Christmas or just a usual synthetic Christmas. And because we are prepared as never before for this Christmas, many of us are ready to make these last few days before the physical Christmas a continued preparation in which we become oned with the physical birth of the Christ in Bethlehem in our consciousness. And it becomes to us a very meaningful livingness of our own birth into reality. So those of us who are moving ever toward that birth, that oneness with the infinite, we are those who are receiving from within the impulse of the Father who is going to lift us into the realization that the true self that I am is an eternal self without beginning, without end. And I will let that self manifest whatever forms it chooses appearing on earth with whatever name I am given. But I am living in the consciousness of that eternal me, the I that never was born and never will die. And that I, that Christ, that Child, is a child that never grows up for it already infinite; it is already eternal; it is already the substance that the world calls God. Every moment that I accept myself as less than that is my prodigality. Every moment that I accept another as less than that is the sentence that I pass upon myself.

Now we have the stage for our birth. And perhaps as we rest for a moment in the quiet, letting the Father do the work.

Perhaps we’re finding that we have more room in our inn than we ever realized.

We’re going to rest a moment and then we’re going to see if we can’t go some deeper into the Christ message.

Luke 2

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called

Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David )

To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there

was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another,

Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

And this is how we are told the birth of Christ took place all those centuries ago.

Surely by now we understand that every scripture we read is describing an internal spiritual experience; something taking place within our very own consciousness. The birth of Christ did not take place thousands of years ago. The birth of Christ is taking place this very moment within you.

There is no room at the inn. Yes, the inn represents the mind that is already too full of theories, ideas and beliefs — a closed mind. A scientific mind that has everything figured out; “Don’t tell me about God. That’s ridiculous. Prove it.” That mind that cannot be convinced though one rose from the dead. That mind which is the Pharisees. Christ cannot be born there. Remember the Pharisees looked and saw a man named Jesus. No. That mind is too full of opinions and judgments, living very good and very proper, mind you, that mind cannot receive the Christ, the birth of the Christ child.

The Christ must be born in a manger; a manger with animals; dirty, filthy, probably smelling. Not good at all. It is the prostitute, it is the drunk, it is the outcast, the tax collector; these are the ones that look and see Christ. ‘Thou art Christ, the son of God.’ These are able to perceive the Christ. Not the room that is full, not the inn, but the manger, the manger in us. Perhaps one of the reasons is because those are the ones that have suffered and seen the futility of this world and all that it has to offer. And perhaps those are the ones that are ready and willing to take the leap.

And so, the birth of Christ takes place in the manger of your undeveloped consciousness; the undeveloped consciousness where the animals live; the animals of lust and greed; the animals of fear and pain; the animals of loneliness and depression. Believe it or not that undeveloped consciousness, which appears to be bad, is the only place that Christ can be born. Not in that mind that is too full; full of itself really, and its goodness and properness. Christ cannot be born there. The inn is full.

So if you are one of those that has had great suffering, misfortune, one of those that looked and said, “This world has nothing for me. I do not like it here.” Then into your undeveloped consciousness, into the manger within you, Christ is born. But there are a few little conditions that must be fulfilled first.

Joseph is not the father of this Christ. And yet, Joseph stands by and watches and supports the mother of Christ. Joseph represents in us the mind when it has become an avenue of awareness and watches as a beholder, Christ being born. Mary represents the soul of us. Mary is the soul that is receptive, open and experiences the penetration of the Holy Spirit. Mary is the soul of us receptive within our self to the Spirit which places that Christ child within us.

And so Mary, the receptive soul; Joseph, the observing, watchful, attentive, avenue of awareness; the two of them come together in the undeveloped consciousness, the manger, and watch this great event unfold. If you have a soul that is open and receptive, waiting upon the Lord to act and a mind that is an avenue of awareness acting as a witness, watching; you must have the birth of Christ in your consciousness.

When this birth takes place within you, there are shepherds standing in a field. And all are startled by an angel that says, “Fear not.” An angel always represents an internal realization. As you have this internal realization that Christ is born within you, it is startling. And yet it speaks unto your body. It speaks unto your mind. It speaks unto your soul and says, “Be not afraid, for unto you this day is a Savior born in the city of David.” Within your consciousness a Savior is born and this internal realization speaks to your body, your mind and your soul. Christ is born this day. And there is a great multitude, a host of angels, almost like fireworks going off. “Christ is born! The real Christ is born within the manger of my consciousness this day.” And your attention is focused on the Christ. The body, the mind, the soul; all focused on the birth of Christ.

Within you, an internal, eternal Voice says, “My God, unto us a child is born; unto us a son is given. And the government shall be upon his shoulder. And this Christ, his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God itself, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace is born in me this day.” And Mary ponders these things in her heart.

This is the experience with us. When we recognize the birth of Christ in the manger of our consciousness, we cannot help but say, “The Mighty God, his name shall be called Wonderful,” and ponder it within us. As we contemplate and ponder these things, this Christ grows and waxes strong within us.

We come to see that the government really is upon his shoulder. More and more we rely on It. If there’s a financial need appearing out here, we turn within and we ponder these things in our heart. We have the inner realization that this Invisible Christ in our consciousness, growing day by day is our supply.

And the Christ says to you, to your soul: “Mary, Mary, relax, relax. Be at peace. I am here.” And the Christ within you speaks to your mind and says: “Joseph, Joseph, slow down. Only remain aware.” The Christ flows through and appears as the harmony of your finances.

A few more days of living with this, weeks, months; there’s a problem of health. “My goodness, what are we going to do about this?” And we return within in our consciousness, to this Christ child, and Christ speaks unto us and says: “Mary, fear not, fear not. I am here.” And the soul of us becomes still, very quiet, very peaceful. This Christ says unto our mind: “Joseph, be still and know that I am God.” And Joseph is quiet, attentive, alert. That Christ Presence floods our being and there’s nothing we can do but rejoice and say, “It is wonderful! This is the Prince of Peace.”

We look again and there are not four months to the harvest. This peace becomes the health of our countenance and whatever discomfort we felt, disappears.

Slowly, slowly, Christ is growing within us. Within our consciousness, day by day, taking over, taking control, the government is on his shoulder. This is the Mighty God, the everlasting Father. And many things that plague us drop away. We did not try to quit them, we used no human means whatsoever, they just fell away. It is the Christ, it is the Lord, it is Wonderful!

Slowly we come to see—Mary, the soul of us, in its receptivity—comes to see that this Christ is rebuilding our life. Slowly, the mind of us, Joseph, begins to witness an invisible hand reaching up right through our consciousness and appearing out here as harmony in our relationships. The Christ child is becoming a young man.

We come to see It take over our lives. One day there is an inner realization, “My God, I live, yet not I, now Christ liveth my life. Could it be? Could it be true? I live and move and have my being in Christ and Christ in me?” Yes Mary, this is true. Yes Joseph, what you are witnessing is real. “I Christ am living you.” We come to see the miracles of Christ.

And there dawns in our consciousness a realization; there are not two worlds, there never was. This world that we thought we disliked; that we thought was temporary and bad, this world was nothing more than a misinterpretation. We may return to the scriptures and discover that we were told of this, that in the beginning Adam gave names to everything that he saw, some things good, some things bad — names, only names. And that Adam, while he slept, everything that he saw he gave names to; based on that belief in good and evil.

Now Christ is living in us and through us, we are awaking out of Adam’s nightmare. We are no longer giving names to anything. We are letting Christ reveal Itself. We are learning that there are not some things good and some things bad; that the good and the bad are not out there. We are learning when we see good or bad to recognize Adam is dreaming, and that’s not out there. Christ within us affirms this and tells us, reveals to us, only Christ is out there. That which we thought was without we now recognize as only a mental image within. That which we thought was within, Christ, now we recognize is everywhere, without and within. We come to see that this world is not this world. We come to see that we live and move and have our being in Christ. And the only world that is here is Christ Itself manifest. And we have been seeing that Christ as good or bad. Christ is growing into a man.

Mary the receptive one and Joseph the aware one have now become instruments for Christ. And Christ says, “I have come that they might have life and life more abundantly, My Infinite Life.”

Now when something good comes into our life, something that Adam labels as good, a new car, a new house, a new friend, a new opportunity, we are not sleeping, we are not dreaming anymore. We enjoy them fully, completely, yet we know the Invisible Christ is appearing to our senses as this good. Our sight, our vision is on the Invisible Christ that is appearing as this house, this automobile, this person, this opportunity, this beauty, this joy, this wonder.

When something bad appears we recognize it immediately; a misperception. This is a mental image in between my eyes and the Christ that is here. So I will not try to fix it, I will not try to improve it, I drop it. Christ says, “Mary, you be receptive to My Word. Joseph, be aware of My Presence. That is your only task. And I will be in you and as you. I will never leave you nor forsake you because I will be in you.”

Slowly, ever so slowly, Christ moves through your receptivity, Christ is your receptivity, Christ is your awareness, Christ is becoming Itself. Others turn to you because they feel it. They see only a human; they think it’s a human. It is Christ, but they do not know it. They turn to you and they ask for help, and the Christ within you sees the Christ of them and pours out freely, giving, bestowing, sharing, lifting up those that are still in the manger. Christ is becoming one with the Father.

Slowly, ever so slowly, Christ loses any vision of him or her or them or they or I or me. Christ experiences Itself everywhere, everyone, Infinite, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient. Christ has become the Father.

Now there is a multitude of the heavenly hosts praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, good will toward men.”

This is indeed wonderful –The Comforter, the Mighty God Itself, the everlasting Father, the very Prince of Peace, God Itself as Itself, everywhere.

And this is the Christmas experience from that of the lowly manger, dirty, filthy to that of the highest of High, Infinite Presence of God Itself, which takes place within you, in your very own consciousness. This is the true Christmas story. This is the Christmas experience.

From this experience, from the heights of this experience, a Voice speaks out of the clouds and says unto you, “Mary, be receptive, receive Me. Experience the immaculate conception of Christ within you.”

This is so very holy. Surely your heart must leap with joy when the Voice speaks to you and says, “Joseph, be still, watch, watch, I come at an hour you think not.” And Joseph is awestruck. His mind comes to a standstill, as that Voice says, “It is I; be not afraid.”

From the moment that I, the Father created you, I had this in mind for you; the Christmas experience, the birth of Christ within you. All through the centuries you were running and running and running away from Me because you felt so fearful and full of guilt. And all that I ever wanted to give you was Christ, My Self. This is the Christmas of your life. This is the internal birth of Christ within you. How very precious thou art. Thou art ever with Me and all that I have is thine. All that I am thou art. Do not forget the story which Christ told;

before he was halfway home the father met him and fell on his neck and kissed him, saying, this is my beloved child, though he were lost, now is he found. Let us celebrate and rejoice. I have found my beloved child’. Thus does the Father love Its own. Thus does the Father love you.”

Remember, Christmas is an internal experience; a spiritual experience. The birth of the living Christ within your consciousness which grows and grows until it becomes your entire living experience. And you return once again to your Father’s house.

Blessings and joy, for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God Itself, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Oh, truly, joy to the world!
